Pirouz (cheetah)
Pirouz (, meaning "''victorious''"; 1 May 2022 – 28 February 2023) was an Asiatic cheetah born in Iran. The child of two Asiatic cheetahs named "Iran" and "Firouz", Pirouz was the only surviving cub of the three that were born. The birth of the cubs notably marked the first time the subspecies had reproduced in captivity. As one of the last remaining Asiatic cheetahs in the world, Pirouz reached great popularity during his lifetime. Life Born on 1 May 2022, Pirouz was the only surviving cub of three live births of the female cheetah "Iran". The three male cubs were born in captivity via a C section operation; this resulted in the mother not recognizing the cubs, thus forcing the cubs to live separately and without maternal care. Acinonyx Jubatus Venaticus
The Asiatic cheetah (''Acinonyx jubatus venaticus'') is a critically endangered cheetah subspecies currently only surviving in Iran. It once occurred from the Arabian Peninsula and the Near East to the Caspian region, Transcaucasus, Kyzylkum Desert and northern South Asia, but was extirpated in these regions during the 20th century. The Asiatic cheetah diverged from the cheetah population in Africa between 32,000 and 67,000 years ago. The Asiatic cheetah survives in protected areas in the eastern-central arid region of Iran, where the human population density is very low. Between December 2011 and November 2013, 84 individuals were sighted in 14 different protected areas, and 82 individuals were identified from camera trap photographs. In December 2017, fewer than 50 individuals were thought to be remaining in three subpopulations that are scattered over in Iran's central plateau. Iran International ( fa, ایران اینترنشنال) is a Persian language news television channel headquartered in London, UK, aimed at Iranian viewers, and broadcasting free-to-air by satellite. Shervin Haji Aghapour ( fa, شروین حاجی آقاپور; born 30 March 1997) is an Iranian singer-songwriter. Born in Babol, he began posting covers to his social media in late 2018. Baraye
"Baraye" ( fa, برای, lit. "For" or "Because of") is a power ballad by Iranian singer-songwriter Shervin Hajipour inspired by the death of Mahsa Amini and its aftermath. Widely referred to as "the anthem" of the protests, "Baraye" received huge critical acclaim for its vocals and portrayal of the emotions of the Iranian people all around the world.
