Ivan Pilip
Ivan Pilip (born 4 August 1963 in Prague) is a Czech politician and economist who was finance minister from June 1997 to July 1998, after having been the Minister of Education, Youth and Sport from 1994 to 1997. Pilip was educated as an economist, before entering politics in the Christian Democratic Party (KDS) after the fall of Communism in the Czech Republic. Pilip served in government from 1992 to 1998, leading the KDS before it merged with the Civic Democratic Party. Pilip was among the deputies who split from the Civic Democrats to form the Freedom Union and in 1998 he went into opposition. Pilip was detained in Cuba in early 2001 for almost a month after meeting opponents of the Cuban government, before being released after international pressure on Cuba. He lost his seat in the Chamber of Deputies in 2002, but would serve as interim leader of Freedom Union for a period afterwards, before serving as a Vice-President at the European Investment Bank from 2004 to 200 ...

Mazi Melesa Pilip
Mazi Melesa Pilip (born ) is a Republican legislator in New York's Nassau County Legislature representing Nassau County, Long Island's 10th district. She is an Ethiopian Jew who was born in a poor village in Ethiopia, immigrated to Israel when she was 12 years old, and later served in the Israel Defense Force's Paratroopers Brigade. She studied at the University of Haifa, where she earned a bachelors degree in occupational therapy, and also studied at Tel Aviv University, where she earned a masters degree in diplomacy and security. In November 2021, Pilip was elected to the Nassau County Legislature. Pilip Vaitsiakhovich ( be, Філіп Вайцяховiч; russian: Филипп Войтехович; born 26 March 1990) is a Belarusian professional association football, footballer who plays for Allsvenskan club IFK Värnamo as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Besides Belarus, he has played in Sweden. Pilip Ballach Ó Duibhgeannáin ( ''fl.'' 1579–1590) was an Irish hereditary historian and member of Clan Ó Duibhgeannáin. The 20th century historian, Paul Walsh, suggested that he was a son of Fer Caogad mac Ferghal Ó Duibhgeannáin, who died at Cloonybried in 1581. Ó Duibhgeannáin was a resident of Cloonybrien, County Roscommon.
