Pierce the Veil is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 2006. It was founded by brothers Vic Fuentes, Vic and Mike Fuentes (musician), Mike Fuentes after the disbanding of Before Today, which formed out of the San Diego Punk rock, punk scene. Jaime Preciado and Tony Perry joined the group in 2007, on bass and lead guitar respectively. Pierce the Veil has released five studio albums and has toured worldwide since the release of their debut album, ''A Flair for the Dramatic'' in 2007. The band released their second full-length studio album, titled ''Selfish Machines'' in 2010. ''Misadventures'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Pierce the Veil released by Fearless Records on May 13, 2016. Initially expected to be released during the summer of 2015, the album was postponed several times before its subsequent release. The album serves as a follow-up to the group's third studio album, '' Collide with the Sky'' (2012). It was produced by Dan Korneff and was recorded throughout 2014 and 2015 on Long Island, New York. It was the last album to feature Mike Fuentes before he left the band in 2017 and took a step back on his music career. As on the three previous albums, the lyrics mostly detail personal experiences of lead singer and frontman Vic Fuentes, such as failed relationships. ''Selfish Machines'' is the second album by American rock band Pierce the Veil, released by Equal Vision Records on June 22, 2010. Produced by Vic Fuentes and Mike Green, it was recorded in late 2009 and early 2010. Fuentes wrote most of the songs, and co-wrote three songs with former A Day to Remember guitarist Tom Denney. A Day to Remember frontman Jeremy McKinnon was featured on the track "Caraphernelia", which had a music video released on September 28, 2010. "Bulletproof Love" was released as the follow-up music video on July 7, 2011. The album released to a mostly favorable critical reception, with reviewers praising the lyricism, instrumentation and experimental approach to its sound, while the use of Auto-Tune on some tracks was less favorably received, and Fuentes' vocals were met with a divisive response from some listeners. ''A Flair for the Dramatic'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Pierce the Veil, released in 2007 by Equal Vision Records. Background and recording In December 2006, Before Today changed their name to Pierce the Veil, and that they had posted a few songs on their Myspace account. It was produced by Casey Bates, along with Vic Fuentes, and was recorded with only the Fuentes brothers taking up all instrument duties. Release On May 3, 2007, it was announced that the band had signed to Equal Vision. A week later, the album's artwork and track listing was revealed. Mike Fuentes (musician)
Michael Christopher Fuentes (born December 14, 1984) is an American musician, best known as the co-founder and former drummer for the post-hardcore San Diego based band Pierce the Veil, which he co-founded alongside his older brother Vic Fuentes in 2006. Fuentes was the percussionist of the supergroup Isles & Glaciers. He had more recently began a hip-hop solo project under the stage name MikeyWhiskeyHands in which he raps on instrumentals produced by Pierce the Veil's bassist Jaime Preciado. Fuentes signed to Velocity Records in March 2012. Both brothers attended Mission Bay Senior High School. Mike graduated with the Class of 2003, where he was also voted "Most Likely To Be Famous" in the yearbook that year. A Day to Remember is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Ocala, Florida, in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are known for their amalgamation of metalcore and pop-punk. The band currently consists of vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, rhythm guitarist Neil Westfall, percussionist/drummer Alex Shelnutt and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff.
