Pichhore Assembly constituency is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. Overview Shivpuri (constituency number 26) is one of the 5 Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Shivpuri district. This constituency covers the entire Khaniyadhana tehsil, Pichhore nagar panchayat and part of Pichhore tehsil of the district. Pichhore is part of Guna Lok Sabha constituency along with seven other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, Shivpuri and Kolaras in this district, Bamori and Guna in Guna district and Ashok Nagar, Chanderi and Mungaoli in Ashoknagar district. Preetam Lodhi
Preetam Singh Lodhi (born 1959) is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh, India. He is an MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party from Pichhore Assembly constituency of Shivpuri district. He won the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. He received a total of 121,228 votes and won with the margin of 21,882 votes by defeating 6-time MLA K.P. Singh Kakkaju. BJP made Pritam its candidate for the third time. In 2013 and 2018 also, BJP fielded him against Congress's KP Singh and Pritam lost both elections by less margin. Ashoknagar District
Ashoknagar District () is a district of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. The city of Ashoknagar is the administrative headquarters of the district. Ashoknagar district was formed in 2003. Geography The district has an area of 4673.94 km2. It is bounded on the east by the Betwa River, which separates it from Lalitpur District of Uttar Pradesh and Sagar District of Madhya Pradesh. Vidisha District lies to the south. The Sindh River forms the western border of the district, which separates it from Guna District. Shivpuri District lies to the north. The district has a population of 688,920 (2001 census). It is divided into eight tehsils: Ashoknagar, Chanderi, Isagarh, Mungaoli, Shadora, Naisarai, Piprai and Bahadurpur. 1998 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in November 1998. The Indian National Congress won a majority of seats and Digvijaya Singh was sworn in as the new Chief Minister for the second time. These were the last elections to the legislative assembly before the passage of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000, which carved out the new state of Chhattisgarh from Madhya Pradesh. 1980 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in May 1980. The Indian National Congress won a majority of seats and Arjun Singh was sworn in as the new Chief Minister. After the 1972 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, the number of constituencies in Madhya Pradesh was increased to 320, following the recommendation of the Delimitation Commission of India.
