Philthy Phillies
Philip John Taylor (21 September 1954 – 12 November 2015), better known as "Philthy Animal", was an English drummer. He was a member of the rock band Motörhead from 1975 to 1984 and 1987 to 1992, recording eleven studio albums and four live albums with the band. The Motörhead line-up consisting of Taylor, Lemmy and "Fast" Eddie Clarke is generally regarded as the 'classic' line-up of the band. Biography Born on 21 September 1954 in Hasland, Derbyshire, Taylor grew up in Leeds, Yorkshire. He took drum lessons at Leeds College of Music on advice from his father. After first meeting Lemmy whilst he was still in Hawkwind in 1973, who was a fellow speed user, he joined Motörhead and replaced Lucas Fox during the recording of the band's first album ''On Parole'' in 1975. Lemmy has said that Fox was not working out and Taylor "had a car and could give us a lift back down to the studio". Sandfields () is a mainly residential district of Port Talbot, Wales. The area is located in South Wales on a narrow coastal plain between Mynydd Dinas and the sea. Todd Youth
Todd Schofield (May 15, 1970 – October 27, 2018), known as Todd Youth, was an American guitarist, best known for his work with Warzone, Murphy's Law and Danzig. Biography Starting in 6th grade, Todd began sneak out from home into New York City where he was playing in several New York hardcore bands, leading to the nickname, Youth (given by HR from Bad Brains). He received his first bass guitar, a BC Rich, for his 10th birthday in 1981. Early influences included Black Sabbath and Kiss. He is mentioned as being the bass player in a very early Agnostic Front as well as Cro-Mags line-up, alongside Harley Flanagan on drums, Parris Mayhew on guitar, and Eric Casanova on vocals. Danzig is an American heavy metal band led by former Misfits and Samhain frontman Glenn Danzig. Formed in 1987 in Lodi, New Jersey out of the latter band, its "classic" lineup included the eponymous vocalist and keyboardist (real name Glenn Anzalone), guitarist John Christ (real name John Knoll), bassist Eerie Von (real name Eric Stellmann) and drummer Chuck Biscuits (real name Charles Montgomery). Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. The band initially consisted of bass guitarist, lead vocalist and principal songwriter Phil Lynott, drummer Brian Downey, guitarist Eric Bell and organist Eric Wrixon although Wrixon left after a few months. Bell left at the end of 1973 and was briefly replaced by Gary Moore, who himself was replaced in mid-1974 by twin lead guitarists: Scott Gorham, who remained with the band until their break-up in 1983, and Brian Robertson, who remained with the band until 1978 when Moore re-joined. "Ace of Spades" is a song by English heavy metal band Motörhead and the title track to the album '' Ace of Spades''. It was released as a single in October 1980. Overview Initially issued as a 7" vinyl single in October 1980 as a preview to the album '' Ace of Spades'' and autumn tour, the song was also released by Bronze Records as a 12" vinyl pressing in special Christmas picture sleeves, limited to 50,000 copies. The picture of the band in Santa outfits used on the cover was taken at the Aylesbury Fair, while the band were on tour. Bronze also issued German and Spanish 7" vinyl versions which had a different sleeves, as well as a Japanese release, with a colour picture insert with song lyrics in English and Japanese.
