Phichit Railway Station
Phichit railway station is the main railway station of Phichit Province. It is a Class 1 Station north of Bangkok railway station. Although it is a Class 1 Railway Station, the Nakhon Phing Express does not stop at this station. Chulalongkorn
Chulalongkorn ( th, จุฬาลงกรณ์, 20 September 1853 – 23 October 1910) was the fifth monarch of Siam under the House of Chakri, titled Rama V. He was known to the Siamese of his time as ''Phra Phuttha Chao Luang'' (พระพุทธเจ้าหลวง, the Royal Buddha). Chulalongkorn's reign was characterised by the modernisation of Siam, governmental and social reforms, and territorial concessions to the British and French. As Siam was surrounded by European colonies, Chulalongkorn, through his policies and acts, ensured the independence of Siam. All his reforms were dedicated to ensuring Siam's independence given the increasing encroachment of Western powers, so that Chulalongkorn earned the epithet ''Phra Piya Maharat'' (พระปิยมหาราช, the Great Beloved King). The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) ( th, การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทย, abbrev. รฟท., ) is the state-owned rail operator under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport in Thailand. Phichit
Phichit ( th, พิจิตร, เมือง) is a town (''thesaban mueang'') in central Thailand, capital of Phichit Province. It covers the whole ''tambon'' Nai Mueang of Mueang Phichit district, an area of 12.017 km². As of 2005 it had a population of 23,791. Phichit is 326 km north of Bangkok. Geography Phichit is at the confluence of the Wat Ta Yom River and the Nan River. History The old town of Phichit was established in 1058 CE by Phraya Kotabongthevaraja, and was first part of the Sukhothai kingdom, and later of Ayutthaya. The name of the city changed several times. At first it was called Sra Luang (city of the royal pond), in Ayutthaya times it was called Okhaburi ("city in the swamp"), and then finally Phichit ("beautiful city"). Nakhon Phing Express
Express Nakhon Phing ( th, รถด่วนพิเศษนครพิงค์) was a special express train operated by the State Railway of Thailand. The trains designated as Express Nakhon Phing were Train No. 1 for Bangkok - Chiang Mai and Train No. 2 for Chiang Mai - Bangkok. These trains offer 1st and 2nd class sleeping cars, and a restaurant car, but no seating accommodation or 3rd class cars. The Express Nakhon Phing was then regarded to be the best train offered by the SRT. The service has now been replaced by the Uttarawithi Express No.9 and 10 are replaced with new train sets from Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. Neo-classical Architecture
Neoclassical architecture is an architectural style produced by the Neoclassical movement that began in the mid-18th century in Italy and France. It became one of the most prominent architectural styles in the Western world.
