Peter Barnes (footballer)
Peter Simon Barnes (born 10 June 1957) is an English former international football player, manager and pundit. An attacking left-sided winger, his playing career spanned 19 years and took him to 25 clubs across eight countries. He is the son of Ken Barnes, who won the FA Cup with Manchester City in 1956. An England Youth and under-21 international, Barnes was a member of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship winning team in 1975. He won 22 senior caps for England, scoring four goals. Though he was never selected in a squad for a major tournament, he played in two victorious British Home Championship campaigns. Barnes began his career as an apprentice at Manchester City in July 1972 and turned professional two years later. He made his Football League debut in October 1974, aged 17. He scored in City's 1976 League Cup final victory and was named as PFA Young Player of the Year. He played in the UEFA Cup and unsuccessful First Division title campaigns, scoring 22 goals in 1 ...

Pete Barnes
Peter G. Barnes (August 31, 1945 – May 3, 2018) was an American football linebacker who played professionally in the American Football League (AFL) and the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Southern University. He played professionally in the AFL for the Houston Oilers in 1967 and 1968, and the San Diego Chargers in 1969. He then played in the NFL for the Chargers (1970–72), the St. Louis Cardinals (1973–75), and the New England Patriots (1976–77). He was the father of Arizona women's basketball coach Adia Barnes. Peter died May 3, 2018, in Tucson hospice care after suffering from Alzheimer's disease. He was 72 years old. He earned a B.A. in history from Harvard University and an M.A. in government from Georgetown. Career Journalist Barnes began his career in journalism working as a reporter for ''The Lowell Sun'' in Lowell, Massachusetts. Peter Barnes (6 May 1907 – 7 February 1940) was born in Banagher, King's County (Offaly). As a young man Barnes joined Fianna Éireann (an Irish nationalist youth organisation) and in 1924 became a member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA). Sabotage campaign in England - the S-Plan Barnes, along with James McCormick (also known as James Richards), were convicted of participating in the 1939 Coventry bombing, which was part of the IRA's sabotage campaign in England (the S-Plan). The Coventry bombing killed five people on 25 August 1939. Barnes was arrested on that date in London. During the search of his room police discovered the address of his fiancée. At her address (also in London), police found receipts for materials associated with bomb making. Although he and McCormick admitted constructing the bomb, which was intended to be used to destroy a power station, they claimed not to be involved in planting the bomb. Peter Barnes is a senior Washington correspondent for the Fox Business Network. He joined the network in October 2007. Barnes was previously a co-anchor for FBN's morning program, ''Money for Breakfast'', from its debut on October 15, 2007 to May 9, 2008. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, Barnes also holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Peter Barnes (born 25 February 1955 in Enfield, London) is a British lighting designer, lighting director, show producer and set designer. He is credited with more than 150 designs for live music, film, television, dance, fashion, art and architecture. He is known in the live music industry as 'the UK's guru of pop lighting'. He was the show producer, lighting and set designer for the Spice Girls live shows including the massive, international Spiceworld Tour, Spiceworld tour and the Christmas in Spiceworld tour.
