Perissomastix Pauliani
''Perissomastix pauliani'' is a species of moth in the family Tineidae. It was described by Hungarian entomologist László Anthony Gozmány in 1970 and is found in Madagascar. This species has a wingspan of 18–20 mm, antennae are dark yellowish grey; head, thorax and forewings are dark purplish fuscous with some violet shine. No pattern. Hindwings are brassy grey. The type was provided from Tsimbazaza, Antananarivo, collected by R.Paulian, to whom this species was dedicated in February 1949.Gozmány L. A. 1970a. Tineidae
Tineidae is a family of moths in the order Lepidoptera described by Pierre André Latreille in 1810. Collectively, they are known as fungus moths or tineid moths. The family contains considerably more than 3,000 species in more than 300 genera. Most of the tineid moths are small or medium-sized, with wings held roofwise over the body when at rest. They are particularly common in the Palaearctic, but many occur elsewhere, and some are found very widely as introduced species. Tineids are unusual among Lepidoptera as the larvae of only a very small number of species feed on living plants, the majority feeding on fungi, lichens, and detritus. Botanical And Zoological Garden Of Tsimbazaza
The Botanical and Zoological Garden of Tsimbazaza, short Tsimbazaza Zoo (in French ''Parc Botanique et Zoologique de Tsimbazaza'' or ''PBZT'') is a zoological and botanical garden in the neighbourhood of Tsimbazaza in Antananarivo, Madagascar, located just north of the National Assembly of Madagascar building. It is said to house "the finest collection of Malagasy wildlife", with several unique species on display. The zoo has a museum with collections of tribal carvings and the skeleton of extinct megavertebrates, including an elephant bird, pygmy hippos, and giant lemurs. It also contains Madagascar's largest herbarium (herbarium code TAN) with roughly 80,000 plant specimens.
