People's Democratic Party (Taiwan)
The People's Democratic Party (PDP; zh, t=人民民主黨), known until 2017 as the People's Democratic Front (PDF; zh, t=人民民主陣線, links=no), is a left-wing political party in Taiwan. The party has no official leadership or membership system, and instead uses a unique system of nominating electoral candidates. Supporters of the party are mainly concerned with issues such as labor rights, indigenous rights, LGBT rights, sex workers' rights, immigration, and environmental protection. Democratic Socialism
Democratic socialism is a Left-wing politics, left-wing political philosophy that supports political democracy and some form of a socially owned economy, with a particular emphasis on economic democracy, workplace democracy, and workers' self-management within a market socialist economy or an alternative form of a decentralised planned socialist economy. Keelung
Keelung () or Jilong () (; Hokkien POJ: '), officially known as Keelung City, is a major port city situated in the northeastern part of Taiwan. The city is a part of the Taipei–Keelung metropolitan area, along with its neighbors, New Taipei City and Taipei, respectively. Nicknamed the ''Rainy Port'' for its frequent rain and maritime role, the city is Taiwan's second largest seaport (after Kaohsiung). Fu Jen Catholic University
Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU, FJCU or Fu Jen; or ) is a private Catholic university in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The university was founded in 1925 in Beijing at the request of Pope Pius XI and re-established in Taiwan in 1961 at the request of Pope John XXIII, its name means "assistance" and "benevolence". Shilin District (also spelled Shihlin District, zh, t=士林區, p=Shìlínqū, poj=Sū-lîm-khu) is a district of Taipei. The central command center of the Republic of China Navy (ROCN) is located in Shilin. The Taiwanese local elections of 2014, commonly known as the nine-in-one elections (), were held on Saturday, 29 November 2014, to elect the Municipal Mayors, Municipal Councilors, Chiefs of indigenous districts in municipalities, Councilors of indigenous districts in municipalities, County Magistrates (City Mayors), County (City) Councilors, Township Chiefs, Township Councilors and chiefs of village (borough) in 6 municipalities and 16 counties (cities).
