Kerrang!
''Kerrang!'' is a British music webzine and quarterly magazine that primarily covers rock, punk and heavy metal music. Since 2017, the magazine has been published by Wasted Talent Ltd (the same company that owns electronic music publication '' Mixmag''). The magazine was named onomatopoeically after the sound of a "guitar being struck with force". ''Kerrang!'' was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off "Heavy Metal Special" from the now-defunct '' Sounds'' newspaper. Due to the popularity of the issue, the magazine became a monthly publication, before transitioning into a weekly in 1987. Initially devoted to the new wave of British heavy metal and the rise of hard rock acts, ''Kerrang!'' musical emphasis has changed several times, focusing on grunge, nu metal, post-hardcore, emo and other alternative rock and metal genres over the course of its forty-year publication history. In 2001, it became the best-selling British music weekly, overtaking '' NME''. After p ...

Personality Test
A personality test is a method of assessing human personality construct (psychology), constructs. Most personality assessment instruments (despite being loosely referred to as "personality tests") are in fact introspective (i.e., subjective) self-report questionnaire (Q-data, in terms of LOTS of data, LOTS data) measures or reports from life records (L-data) such as rating scales. Attempts to construct actual performance tests of personality have been very limited even though Raymond Cattell with his colleague Frank Warburton compiled a list of over 2000 separate objective tests that could be used in constructing objective personality tests. One exception, however, was the Objective-Analytic Test Battery, a performance test designed to quantitatively measure 10 factor-analytically discerned personality trait dimensions. A major problem with both L-data and Q-data methods is that because of item transparency, rating scales, and self-report questionnaires are highly susceptible to mo ...

Wallflower (people)
A wallflower is someone with an Introversion, introverted or Shyness, shy personality type (or in more extreme cases, social anxiety) who will attend parties and social gatherings, but will usually distance themselves from the crowd and actively avoid being in the limelight. They are also social around friends but not strangers, though once around friends, the strangers become less impactful. The name itself derives from the Wallflower, eponymous plant's unusual growth pattern against a wall as a stake or in cracks and gaps in stone walls. "Wallflowers" might literally stand against a wall and simply observe others at a social gathering, rather than mingle. Connection to sociology Structural function theory Structural functionalism is a sociological theory that sees society as a number of complex parts that form a stable and functional whole. This leads to a strong and coherent family unit made of smaller parts, with the functioning family unit then going on to form the smaller pa ...

''Duél'' is the fifth studio album by Ukrainian heavy metal band Jinjer, released on 7 February 2025 by Napalm Records. Background The album was produced by Max Morton, who had produced several of the band's previous albums. Most of the songs were inspired by the history of Ukraine and Eastern Europe in the late 19th Century, plus singer Tatiana Shmayluk's forced relocation to Los Angeles in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The album is also informed by the band's unanticipated status as cultural ambassadors for their country while touring internationally during hostilities in Ukraine. Critical reception The album received generally positive reviews. ''Metal Injection'' declared that "Jinjer is operating at the peak of their creative powers" and offered particular praise for Shmayluk's powerful vocals. ''Kerrang!'' described the album as an example of the "underdog status" of heavy metal, informed by the comparable underdog status of Jinjer's home country of Ukraine, ...
