Pawnee County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kansas. Its county seat and largest city is Larned. As of the 2020 census, the county population was 6,253. The county is named after the Pawnee tribe. Agriculture remains a cornerstone of Pawnee County's economy, with the county being one of the state's leading producers of winter wheat.
