Pavel Kovalev (figure Skater)
Pavel Antonovich Kovalev (; born 4 January 1992) is a Russian-French pair skater. With his wife, Camille Kovalev, he is a two-time ISU Grand Prix medalist, 2018 Volvo Open Cup silver medalist, 2015 International Cup of Nice bronze medalist, 2015 Lombardia Trophy bronze medalist, and a four-time French national champion. Personal life Kovalev was born on 4 January 1992, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He married his skating partner, Camille Mendoza, in December 2017. Career Early career for Russia Kovalev began skating in 1996 in his hometown of Saint Petersburg. As a singles skater, he reached the Younger and Elder Age Russian Junior Championships. Kovalev competed two seasons in pairs with Zoya Rogovtseva beginning in the 2009–10 season and one season with Valeria Morozova in the 2011–12 season. 2025 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2025 World Figure Skating Championships were held from March 26–30, 2025, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), the World Championships are considered the most prestigious event in figure skating, second only to the Figure skating at the Olympic Games, Olympics. Medals were awarded in Single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. 2009–10 Figure Skating Season
The 2009–10 figure skating season began on 1 July 2009, and ended on 30 June 2010. During this season, elite skaters competed at the Olympic level at the 2010 Winter Olympics, on the ISU Championship level at the 2010 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. They also competed in elite competitions such as the 2009–10 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. 2019–20 ISU Challenger Series
The 2019–20 ISU Challenger Series was held from September to December 2019. It was the sixth season that the ISU Challenger Series, a group of senior-level international figure skating competitions, was held. On July 22, 2019, the International Skating Union revoked the Chinese Taipei Skating Union's right to host the Asian Open Figure Skating Classic, scheduled to be held in Taipei, Taiwan. The event was replaced with the Hong Kong Skating Union's Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy. The Sports Administration of the Republic of China ordered the removal of Chinese Taipei Skating Union Secretary-General Eddy Wu for mishandling this situation.
