Paul McGuire is a freelance author, writer and journalist based in Hong Kong. Career In June 2002, McGuire wrote one of his first articles for South China Morning Post, titled "Best foot forward for walks in Macau". From 2002 to 2006, McGuire was a regular contributor to the ''South China Morning Post''.McGuire, Paul (2002 to 2006) McGuire wrote reviews, articles and features for the Arts and Education sections. A few of these have been reprinted in publications such as the ''Financial Times''. McGuire is a children's author. Dominic Mary (Paul) McGuire (3 April 190315 June 1978) was an Australian writer, public servant and diplomat. Life and career McGuire was born in Peterborough, South Australia on 3 April 1903. His father, James McGuire (railways), James McGuire, was the Railways Commissioner. He attended Christian Brothers College, Adelaide and the University of Adelaide. At university he was the Tinline Scholar in History. Also as a university student he helped to organise Save the Children Australia raising money for famine relief targeted to Russian children following World War I. McGuire began story-writing with detective stories, some of which were published in the United Kingdom. Between 1932 and 1936, McGuire published ten novels, a book of verse and an essay on the poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins. Paul McGuire (born in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a radio and television presenter based in Canada. He has primarily worked with Canadian television networks, beginning with YTV. He most prominently served as a presenter for country music channel CMT—where he hosted the ''Chevrolet Top 20 Countdown'' among other programs. At the 2016 CMA Awards, McGuire won a special recognition award for International Broadcaster of the Year. In 2017, he joined a multi-channel network run by Canadian music publisher Ole to produce and host music-related content on YouTube.
