Paul Hunter (1978–2006) was an English snooker player. Paul Alan Hunter (14 October 1978 – 9 October 2006) was an English professional snooker player. He was a three-time Masters (snooker), Masters champion, winning the event in 2001 Masters (snooker), 2001, 2002 Masters (snooker), 2002, and 2004 Masters (snooker), 2004; on all three occasions, he recovered from a deficit in the final to claim the title on a . He also won three List of snooker players by number of ranking titles, ranking events: the Welsh Open (snooker), Welsh Open in 1998 Welsh Open (snooker), 1998 and 2002 Welsh Open (snooker), 2002, and the 2002 British Open. Paul Hunter (born January 18, 1956) is a Canadian-born retired soccer player. He played for the University of Connecticut Huskies and spent five seasons in the North American Soccer League. His position was defender. High school and college While born in Canada, Hunter and his brother Tim grew up in Westport, Connecticut where he attended Staples High School. Staples won the 1971 Connecticut state championship Hunter's junior year. While the team repeated as champions in 1972, Hunter shattered his leg mid-season, putting him out for the rest of the year. He then attended the University of Connecticut, playing on the men's soccer team from 1974 to 1976. He was selected as an honourable mention (third team) All American in 1975 and a first team All American his senior season. He was also team captain that season. Paul Hunter (born 9 February 1993) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who for played the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Hunter was raised in Redhead in New South Wales, near Newcastle. Hunter began playing football for Warners Bay Football club. In 2013, Hunter moved to Queensland to play with Redland in south east Brisbane who competed in the NEAFL.
