Paul Richard Charles Gray, (born 2 August 1948) is a British former civil servant who was chairman of HM Revenue & Customs until he resigned on 20 November 2007. Early career Paul Gray joined the Civil Service in 1969 as an economist at HM Treasury. During his time there he variously worked on agriculture, industry, and employment issues, and co-ordinated the Public Expenditure Survey process. Except for two years working for Booker McConnell Ltd in the late 1970s as a corporate planner, he remained at the Treasury until 1988, when he was appointed private secretary for economic affairs to the prime minister, Margaret Thatcher. After two years, Gray returned to the Treasury in 1990, where he worked on monetary policy, serving as a member of the EU Monetary Committee. From 1995 to 1998 he was director of budget and public finances, taking overall responsibility for the Finance Bill process. Paul Murray Granville Gray (born 1 August 1958) is an English bassist notable for playing with the rock bands Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Damned and UFO. Biography Paul Gray was born in Leigh-on-Sea. Inspired by a Hawkwind gig he attended, Gray started learning bass guitar at the age of 13, his playing influenced by bassists such as Steve Currie, Lemmy, John Entwistle, Felix Pappalardi and Roger Glover. He joined Eddie and the Hot Rods as bassist after answering an advert in the ''Southend Evening Echo''. The band had several hit singles and albums in the late 1970s, including " Do Anything You Wanna Do". While working with Eddie and the Hot Rods, he also recorded bass for Larry Wallis, Rob Tyner and Johnny Thunders, as well as filling in as temporary bassist for The Members. Paul Gray (hurdler)
Paul Gray (born 25 May 1969) is a Welsh retired athlete who competed in the 110 metres hurdles and 400 metres hurdles. Biography Shortly after winning the Junior 1987 Junior AAA title, Gray won bronze at the 1987 European Athletics Junior Championships. Gray won the bronze medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada. In addition, he represented Great Britain at two World Championships, in 1999 and 2001, without reaching the semifinals. His personal bests are 13.53 seconds in the 110 metres hurdles (Victoria 1994) and 49.16 in the 400 metres hurdles (Budapest 1998). Robert Paul Gray (born 28 January 1970 in Portsmouth) is a Northern Irish former footballer who played as a forward. Club career Gray started his career in Northern Ireland with Bangor, and was still a teenager when he began playing for the first-team before moving to Luton Town in 1986. He rose through the youth ranks at the club, eventually signing professional terms in 1988. He made his first-team debut in December 1989 against Arsenal. He made six further appearances during the 1989–90 season, but did not feature the following season, and was sold to Wigan Athletic. He made his debut for the Latics in August 1991 against Shrewsbury Town. Gray appeared five times in the first-team before suffering a serious ankle injury against Sheffield United which ended his professional career. The School of Information Systems and Technology at Claremont Graduate University is the home of the Paul Gray PC Museum. Biography Gray received a PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University in 1968. He has been a member of the faculty at Stanford, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Southern California, Southern Methodist University, University of California at Irvine, and Claremont Graduate University. Paul Francis Gray (28 November 1963 – 24 April 2018) was an Australian singer, songwriter, pianist, and record producer. He met with early success as the lead vocalist for the 1980s funk/pop band Wa Wa Nee. After the disbanding of Wa Wa Nee, Gray concentrated on work as a keyboard player, musical director, songwriter and producer. He worked with many highly successful Australian artists, including Tina Arena, Kate Ceberano and Bardot. Gray appeared in the Countdown Spectacular 2 concert series in Australia between late August and early September 2007 as a performer and musical director. He sang two songs: "Stimulation" and "Sugar Free". In 2012, Gray appeared on an episode of ''Myf Warhurst's Nice'', singing a duet of " Islands in the Stream" with Warhurst.
