Paul Davies
Paul Charles William Davies (born 22 April 1946) is an English physicist, writer and broadcaster, a professor in Arizona State University and director of BEYOND: Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science. He is affiliated with the Institute for Quantum Studies in Chapman University in California. He previously held academic appointments in the University of Cambridge, University College London, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, University of Adelaide and Macquarie University. His research interests are in the fields of cosmology, quantum field theory, and astrobiology. In 2005, he took up the chair of the SETI: Post-Detection Science and Technology Taskgroup of the International Academy of Astronautics. Paul Davies (wheelchair Rugby)
Paul Andrew Davies, MBE is a former British wheelchair rugby player and former manager of the Great Britain national wheelchair rugby team. He was the manager for the team at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games (6th place), and won two European Championships. He was a Manager of the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby Development Team from 2002 to 2005. In 1998, he successfully put together the first of two World Class Performance Lottery Bid Documents securing over £125,000. The second Bid Document was put together in November 2000 again successfully securing £113,590 until December 2001. In July 2002 he was involved in the first ever-integrated rugby tour (World Friendship Tour) between the GB Wheelchair Rugby Development Unit and Haslemere RFC based in Surrey. Securing over £200,000 in sponsorship a group of 50 wheelchair and able-bodied rugby players went on a tour of USA, Singapore, Australia and South Africa

Paul Davies (bishop)
Richard Paul Davies (born 15 March 1973) is a British Anglican bishop. Since September 2023, he has been Bishop of Dorking in the Church of England's Diocese of Guildford. He was Archdeacon of Bangor from 2012 to 2017 and then Archdeacon of Surrey from 2017 until becoming a bishop. Early life and education Davies was born on 15 March 1973 in Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, Wales. He was educated at the Pembroke School, Pembrokeshire. He studied theology at the University of Wales, Lampeter, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in 1994. From 1994 to 1997, he trained for ordination at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, an Anglican theological college. He also studied theology at Regent's Park College, Oxford, and graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master of Theology (MTh) degree. Paul Michael Davies is an Australian television script writer, novelist and playwright, who has worked on a number of Crawford television series. He has written several plays for the TheatreWorks theatre company, a leader in staging situation theatre. Television work Paul Michael Davies was born in Murwillumbah, New South Wales in 1949. He took his BA with Honours from the University of Queensland and his MA in 1973. Paul Davies (born 22 June 1970) is a Welsh former professional snooker player who lives in Cardiff. He turned professional in 1991. Initially based in Hampshire, Davies began his career in which he was mentored by a local amateur snooker player by the name of Bert Garland who died in 1996. Career He made an immediate impact, reaching two semi-finals in his first 3 seasons – the 1991 Dubai Classic and the 1993 Asian Open, losing to the eventual champions (John Parrott and Dave Harold) in each case. However he has never gone this far in a ranking event again. He has never qualified for the World Championship, losing in the final qualifying round four times. Paul Davies (born 12 October 1966) is a Welsh Paralympic table tennis player. Davies, who has played table tennis competitively since 1991, was selected for the 2012 Paralympic Games, and took the bronze medal in the men's individual class 1 event. Paul Andrew Davies (born 9 October 1960) is an English former professional footballer. Nicknamed "Ocker", he began his career in the Football League with Cardiff City. Early career Davies was born in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, but first played professional football for Cardiff City, after joining the club from non-league side Oldswinford Town. He made his debut for the ''Bluebirds'' on 16 February 1980 in a 1–0 defeat to Bristol Rovers but made just one further appearance or the club before leaving. He joined Trowbridge Town and Dutch club Heracles Almelo, scoring 7 times in 9 appearances for the club, before signing for his home town side Kidderminster Harriers for £1,500 in 1983. Paul Davies (footballer, Born 1952)
Paul Davies (born 10 October 1952) is a Welsh retired footballer, who played as a forward for Arsenal and Charlton Athletic in the 1970s. Born in Holywell, Flintshire, he is the younger brother of Southampton and Wales striker Ron Davies. He played as a schoolboy for Wales and joined Arsenal as a trainee, featuring in Arsenal's 1971 FA Youth Cup final triumph. He turned professional at Highbury in November 1969 and helped the Gunners win the Football Combination title that season. His solitary First Division appearance was as a substitute in Arsenal's 4–2 victory at home to Newcastle United in October 1971. He was sold to Charlton Athletic for £10,000 in November 1972 after a loan spell. He stayed with Charlton for two years, making a total of 67 appearances. Paul Davies, born October 1957, is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Colne Valley since 2024. Early life and career Davies grew up in Caerau. He worked as an electrician, before he studied Politics and Economic History at Cardiff University. After graduation, he worked in roles in human resources and operations management. Davies was elected as a councillor in 2019 for Holme Valley South ward on Kirklees Council. He was the deputy leader of the council before he stepped down in 2024 when selected as the Labour parliamentary candidate for Colne Valley.
