Paul Clayton is an English actor, director and author. Career Clayton played Ian Chapman in Channel 4 sitcom ''Peep Show''. for five series. In 2011, Clayton portrayed Sam Foster, father of Frank Foster in ''Coronation Street''. Clayton also appears in the BBC Three sitcom '' Him & Her'' where he plays Graham. In 2013 and 2014, he played Superintendent Marlow in ''Hollyoaks'', until his character was murdered on 21 April. Clayton has made other notable television appearances in ''Doctor Who'', ''My Family'', ''Doctors'' and ''Wire in the Blood'', as well as films such as ''Ali G Indahouse''. He also features in the British crime thriller '' The Rise''. Clayton filmed "Danny Boy" for Expectation films in November 2020. Paul Clayton (born Paul Clayton Worthington; March 3, 1931 – March 30, 1967) was an American folksinger and folklorist who was prominent in the folk music revival of the 1950s and 1960s. Clayton earned a master's degree in folklore at the University of Virginia in 1957, where he specialized in traditional music, primarily New England sea shanties and ballads as well as Appalachian songs. He became interested in the first of these as a youngster and began playing guitar as a teen. While attending college, he expanded his interests to include the music of Virginia and the surrounding states. Within a short time after leaving college, he began recording. His first releases were for a small specialty record company, but in 1956 he joined Folkways Records, the day's leading folk music label. He recorded six solo albums for Folkways from 1956 to 1958, issued albums for a few specialty labels, moved to another prominent folk label, Elektra Records, for two albums in 1958–59, and co ...

Paul Spencer Clayton (born 4 January 1965) is an English former professional footballer. Career Clayton began his career with Norwich City. He was a member of the club's youth team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1983 and scored twice in the final. However, he was unable to establish himself in the Norwich first team - making just 15 league appearances without scoring - and moved to Darlington in 1988 for a fee of £25,000, a Darlington club record. After scoring three goals in 22 games he moved to Crewe Alexandra in 1989. After playing non-league football for Macclesfield Town, Stafford Rangers, Stalybridge Celtic and Northwich Victoria, Clayton left football and worked for the National Health Service as a hospital theatre technician.
