Paul Gardner Allen (January 21, 1953 – October 15, 2018) was an American business magnate, computer programmer, researcher, investor, and philanthropist. He co-founded Microsoft Corporation with childhood friend Bill Gates in 1975, which helped spark the microcomputer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s. Microsoft became the world's largest personal computer software company. Paul Allen (February 15, 1775 – August 18, 1826) was an American poet, historian, and editor. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Allen studied at Brown University, graduating in 1793. He later relocated to Philadelphia, where he served as editor of '' The Port Folio'', the '' Gazette of the United States'', and the ''Federal Republican''. While in Philadelphia, he edited a two-volume history of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, published in 1814 in that city, but without mention of the actual author, banker Nicholas Biddle. Allen reached the height of his reputation after he moved to Baltimore, where he served as editor of the short-lived ''Journal of the Times'' and the more-successful ''Baltimore Morning Chronicle.'' Paul Hastings Allen (28 November 1883 in Boston, Massachusetts – 28 September 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts) was an American composer. Life He was born in Hyde Park, Boston, Hyde Park, a neighborhood of Boston, After being graduated from Harvard University, Harvard College (A. B., 1903), he went to Florence, Italy, where he studied composition with Antonio Scontrino and piano with Giuseppe Buonamici. During World War I, he served in the U.S. diplomatic service. After returning to Boston in 1920, he remained for the rest of his life. He was a prolific composer of operas, symphonies, chamber, and vocal music. He wrote an opera based on The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper. He was awarded a Paderewski Prize for his symphony entitled Pilgrim. Paul Kevin Allen (born 28 August 1962) is an English former professional footballer and delegate liaison officer for the Professional Footballers' Association. As a player, he was a midfielder who notably played top flight football for West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, with appearance for Spurs and the Saints in the Premier League. He also played in the Football League for Luton Town, Stoke City, Swindon Town, Bristol City and Millwall. He won three caps for England at under-21 level.
