Pat Mulcahy (Limerick Hurler)
Patrick Mulcahy (24 November 1877 – 27 April 1963) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Limerick and Dublin senior teams lasted from 1896 until 1908. Born in Cappamore, County Limerick, Mulcahy first played competitive hurling in his youth. He was little more than a schoolchild when he was invited to play for the Murroe and Boher teams, however, he quickly established himself on the Cappamore team, winning a Murphy Cup medal in 1897. Mulcahy later played with the Commercials club in Dublin and won five county senior championship medals. Mulcahy joined the Limerick senior team in 1896 and enjoyed much success during his brief tenure with the team. He was the full-forward on the team that won All-Ireland, Munster and Croke Cup titles in 1897. Mulcahy later joined the Dublin senior team and added a Leinster medal to his collection in 1902. Cappamore GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Cappamore in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is a member of the East Division of Limerick GAA. The main game played by the club is hurling, which has teams at all grades from under 6 to senior. Football is also played from under 6 to junior level. The club's colours are green and gold. Cappamore Hurlers
Cappamore () is a small town in northeast County Limerick in the midwest of Ireland. It is also a parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. Location and facilities Cappamore is situated on the R505 regional road, on the banks of the Mulcair River. The village is overlooked by the Slieve Felim Mountains and is approximately 20 minutes driving time from Limerick City. It has a rich agricultural hinterland in which the dairy industry is prominent. The town has several pubs, grocery shops, a hardware store, GP surgery, pharmacy, bookmaker shop and veterinary clinic. Dublin Senior Hurling Championship
The Dublin Senior Hurling Championship ( ga, Craobh Sinsear Iomána Átha Cliath) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Dublin County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association ( GAA) since 1887 for the top hurling clubs in County Dublin, Ireland. Sixteen clubs compete. Initially the teams are divided into four groups of four with the group matches being played from April to May with a break to accommodate the All-Ireland Championship and resume during August or September. The group stage is followed by a knock-out phase which takes place during the months of October and November. Sponsored by Go-Ahead, it is therefore officially known as the Go-Ahead Dublin Senior Hurling Championship.
