Mario Soffici
Mario Soffici (14 May 1900 – 10 May 1977) was an Argentina, Argentine film director, actor and screenwriter of the classic era. Biography A native of Florence, Soffici moved to Argentina in the 1920s and began acting in 1931 and directing in 1935 on the film ''El Alma de Bandoneón'', working with popular actors of the period such as Libertad Lamarque in Argentine Tango, tango-based musical films. He directed some 40 films between 1935 and 1962, most notably ''Prisioneros de la tierra'' (1939) (often cited as one of the greatest in Argentine cinema), ''El Curandero'' (1955), ''El hombre que debía una muerte'' (1955) and ''Rosaura a las 10'' (1958). He directed and co-wrote with Eduardo Boneo and Francisco Madrid'' La cabalgata del circo,'' where Eva Duarte played a supporting role. He died in Buenos Aires in 1977. Carmen Giménez
Carmen Giménez (born February 20, 1971 in New York City) is an American poet, writer, and editor. Life Giménez earned a Bachelor of Arts from San José State University and a Master of Fine Arts from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where she was a Teaching-Writing Fellow. She was recently a professor in English at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and, prior to that, New Mexico State University. She teaches in Bennington College's Master of Fine Arts Program in Creative Writing. Giménez is the founder and publisher of Noemi Press, and she is a founding fellow and co-director of CantoMundo. In the fall of 2017, Giménez became editor of '' The Nation's'' Poetry Section, alongside Stephanie Burt. In summer of 2022, Giménez became the Executive Director and Publisher of Graywolf Press. Alberto Quiles Piosa (born 27 April 1995) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Albacete Balompié. Club career Born in Huelva, Andalusia, Quiles had youth stints at Recreativo de Huelva and Celta de Vigo. On 24 July 2014 he moved to Córdoba CF, being assigned to the reserves in Segunda División B.
