The Party for Franconia () also known as Frankenpartei is a minor party in Germany aimed primarily at people in the Franconian regions of Bavaria. Elections In 2013, the party stood for the first time in the Bavarian state election, competing in three of Bavaria's seven ; Upper Franconia, Middle Franconia and Lower Franconia. It received 2.9% of the vote in Upper Franconia, 2.3% in Middle Franconia and 1.6% in Lower Franconia (2.2% of votes in the Franconian and 0.7% of all votes in Bavaria). In 2014, it stood in the Bavarian local election for Feucht, Hof and Roth. In Feucht, it received 4.8% of the vote, gaining it one seat, in Hof it received 5.5% of the vote, gaining it two seats, and in Roth it received 4.4% of the vote, gaining it one seat. 2018 Bavarian State Election
The 2018 Bavarian state election took place on 14 October 2018 to elect the 180 members of the 18th Landtag of Bavaria. The outgoing government was a majority of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU), led by Minister President Markus Söder. The CSU recorded its worst result since 1950 with 37% of votes, a decline of over ten percentage points, although it remained by far the largest party in the Landtag. The SPD, which had previously been the second largest party, fell to fifth place with just 10%. The Greens gained 9 points and emerged as the second strongest party with 17.5%. The Free Voters of Bavaria (FW) gained 2.6 points and finished third with 11.6% of the total vote. The Alternative for Germany (AfD), which ran in Bavaria for the first time, placed fourth with 10%. Roth (Bavaria)
Roth (; formerly ''Roth bei Nürnberg'') is a town in Bavaria, Germany, the capital of the Roth District. It is located about 25 km south of Nuremberg. History The town was first mentioned in documents in the year 1060, but settlements at its location date back much further. During the Middle Ages the town was given the right to grant asylum within the city walls. Later this tradition attracted Huguenot refugees who had to flee France because of religious persecution. Hof (Saale)
Hof () is a town on the banks of the Saale in the northeastern corner of the Germany, German state of Bavaria, in the Franconian region, at the Czech Republic, Czech border and the forested Fichtel Mountains and Franconian Forest upland regions. Feucht
Feucht is a market town and municipality southeast of Nuremberg in the district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria, Germany. The name Feucht () is derived from the Old High German noun "viuhtje" - "fichta", which is the spruce tree (vernacularly Féichdn). As of 31 December 2019, Feucht had a population of 14,050. Hermann Oberth (1894–1989), one of the early fathers of space travel, lived for many years and died in Feucht. Lower Franconia (, ) is one of seven districts of Bavaria, Germany. The districts of Lower, Middle and Upper Franconia make up the region of Franconia. Upper Franconia (, ) is a (administrative 'Regierungs''region 'bezirk'' of the state of Bavaria, southern Germany. 2013 Bavarian State Election
The 2013 Bavarian state election was held on 15 September 2013 to elect the 180 members of the 17th Landtag of Bavaria. It was held one week before the 2013 German federal election. The Christian Social Union of Bavaria, CSU regained the absolute majority it had lost in 2008, while the Free Democratic Party (Germany), Free Democratic Party (FDP), a member of the outgoing governing coalition, fell below the 5% electoral threshold and lost all its seats.
