Parker's Store
Parker's Store is a historic retail building at 18 Parker Station Road in Goffstown, New Hampshire. The two-story wood-frame structure was built before 1804, and is one of the state's few surviving early retail structures. It has been home to the Goffstown Historical Society since 1973, when it was donated by the Parker family. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Description and history The former Parker's Store building is located about west of the village center of Goffstown, at the northeast corner of Parker Station Road and Gorham Pond Road. It is a 2½-story wood-frame structure, with a broad gabled roof and clapboarded exterior. Its front is spanned by a single-story hip-roofed porch, supported by round columns with Doric heads. Goffstown is a census-designated place (CDP) and the main village in the town of Goffstown in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. The population of the CDP was 3,366 at the 2020 census, out of 18,577 in the entire town. Geography The CDP is in the center of the western part of the town of Goffstown, on both sides of the Piscataquog River. The CDP extends north beyond Parsons Road, 3rd Avenue, Whipple Lane, Smith Road, Hemlock Drive, Heather Hill Road, and Winter Hill Road, and extends east past Paige Hill Road to include all of Upton Lane and all of Glen Lake on the Piscataquog. The Piscataquog River is a river located in southern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Merrimack River, which flows to the Gulf of Maine. The Piscataquog River begins at the outlet of Deering Reservoir, a lake in Deering, New Hampshire.
