''Paris Model'' is a 1953 American comedy drama film directed by Alfred E. Green and starring Marilyn Maxwell, Paulette Goddard, Eva Gabor and Barbara Lawrence.Wojcik p.235 It is an anthology featuring four separate parts, each focused on one of the four actresses. It was distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film's sets were designed by the art director William Glasgow. Plot A new dress plays a key role in the lives of four women who are not acquainted with each other. Harry F. Gerguson (born Hershel Geguzin, February 20, 1890 – September 1, 1971), known as Michael Romanoff, was a Hollywood restaurateur, con man and actor born in Lithuania. He is perhaps best remembered as the owner of the now-defunct Romanoff's, a Beverly Hills restaurant popular with Hollywood stars in the 1940s and 1950s. He claimed to be a member of Russia's royal House of Romanov (sometimes spelled "Romanoff" in English). Gloria Pall (born Gloria Pallatz; July 15, 1927 – December 30, 2012) was an American model, showgirl, actress, author and businesswoman. Biography Gloria Pallatz was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1927. During World War II, she worked as an aircraft mechanic in upstate New York at Rome Army Air Depot. On July 28, 1945, she was employed by the USO headquarters office on the 56th floor of the Empire State Building in New York City when a U.S. Army B-25 Mitchell bomber crashed into the 79th floor. In 1947, she entered and won a "Miss Flatbush" contest which opened the door to work as a model. Eugene Borden (born Élysée Eugène Prieur-Bardin, March 21, 1897 – July 2, 1971) was an American character actor in silent and sound films. Leif Erickson (born William Wycliffe Anderson; October 27, 1911 – January 29, 1986) was an American stage, film, and television actor. Early life Erickson was born in Alameda, California, near San Francisco.
