Parashurama
Parashurama (), also referred to as Rama Jamadagnya, Rama Bhargava and Virarama, is the sixth avatar among the Dashavatara of the preserver god Vishnu in Hinduism. Hindu tradition holds him to be the destroyer of the evil on Earth. According to legends, Shiva advised him to go and liberate the Mother Earth from felons, ill-behaved men, extremists, demons and those blind with pride. He is described as one amongst the ''Chiranjivi, Chiranjivis'' (Immortals), who will appear at the end of the ''Kali Yuga'' to be the guru of Vishnu's tenth and last incarnation, Kalki. Parshuram () is an upazila of Feni District in Chattogram Division in southeast Bangladesh. Demographics As of the 2011 Census of Bangladesh, Parshuram upazila had 20,353 households and a population of 101,062. 24,600 (24.34%) were under 10 years of age. ''Parashuram'' is a 1989 Indian Kannada-language action film directed by V. Somashekar and produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar under Dakshayini Combines. Parasuram began his career in the film industry as an assistant director to his cousin Puri Jagannadh and later to Bhaskar. He made his directorial debut in 2008 with the film '' Yuvatha''. Rajshekhar Basu (; better known by the pen name Parashuram; 16 March 1880 – 27 April 1960) was a Bengali chemist, author and lexicographer. He was chiefly known for his comic and satirical short stories, and is considered the greatest Bengali humorist of the 20th century. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1956. Early life Basu was born at his maternal uncle's home at Bamunpara near Kandorsona, British India (now Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal, India).
