Papagou B.C., or Papagou Athens B.C. (alternate spelling: Papagos) is a Greek professional basketball club that was founded in 1976. The team is located in Papagou, Attica, Greece. The club's full name is Athlitikos Syllogos Papagou Athens Basketball Club, which is abbreviated as A.S. Papagou Athens B.C. (Greek: Α.Σ. Παπάγου Αθήνα K.A.E.). The Greek A2 Basket League (), is a professional basketball league in Greece. It is the 2nd-tier level of pro competition, among clubs in the country. It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). The league is also known as the Greek Elite League (Ελληνική Ελίτ Λιγκ) for sponsorship reasons. Jon Anthony Korfas (alternate spelling: John, ; born August 21, 1962) is a Greek-American former professional basketball player and coach. During his professional playing career, Korfas won all three of the FIBA Europe continental-wide titles on the club level. With Panathinaikos Athens, he won the top-tier level FIBA EuroLeague championship, during the 1995–96 season. George Dikeoulakos
George Dikeoulakos (or Dikaioulakos, ; born 26 January 1969) is a Greek professional basketball coach. Playing career As a player, Dikeoulakos played for Papagou in his homeland. At the age of 19, he moved to Yugoslavia and joined Kosovo Polje. He also played for Prishtina, Trepça and Famos Sarajevo. While he was in Yugoslavia, he started his coaching career with young players and youth programs. In 1993, the war in Bosnia forced him to return to Greece, but a number of serious injuries forced him to stop playing and dedicate to coaching career.
