Panelian Raikas
Panelian Raikas, abbreviated PaRa, is an ice hockey club in the Panelia area of Eura municipality in Finland. PaRa was established in 1920 as an athletics club but, as of 2024, it exclusively operates departments in ice hockey. The club's home venue is (). The PaRa men's representative team competes in the , the fifth-tier men's national ice hockey league in Finland. At its peak during the 1950s and 1960s, the team competed in the third-tier (replaced by 2. Divisioona in 1975, which was itself replaced by the Suomi-sarja in 1999). PaRa has an agreement with the minor affiliate club of Lukko, through which it co-operates two women's teams in the Finnish national leagues. The club's representative in the women's team, PaRa/Lukko, plays in the third-tier Naisten Suomi-sarja. Eura
Eura () is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Satakunta region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality of Kiukainen was consolidated with Eura on 1 January 2009. The municipality is one of the most distinguished places in Finland in terms of pre-historical findings. The archaeological findings are mainly from the Iron Age and include e.g. ancient dress "''Euran Emännän Puku''". Naisten Suomi-sarja
The Naisten Suomi-sarja (), distinguished as the Jääkiekon naisten Suomi-sarja (), is the third-tier women's national ice hockey league in Finland. It was established by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association in 2003 and is the lowest tier of national ice hockey competition, below the premier Auroraliiga and secondary Naisten Mestis, but above regional leagues (). Season format 2023–24 season Beginning in the 2023–24 season, the Naisten Mestis adopted the ten team, 36-game format used by the Auroraliiga. Since then, all teams not playing in the Auroraliiga or Naisten Mestis and any new teams play in the Naisten Suomi-sarja by default. Lukko/PaRa
Lukko/PaRa is an ice hockey team in the Naisten Mestis. They are based in Rauma, a port city on the southwestern coast of Finland, and play at the Eurajoen jäähalli in Eurajoki. The team was formed in May 2024 via a cooperation agreement between Rauman Lukko ry, a minor club affiliated with the Lukko organization, and Panelian Raikas (PaRa). Panelia
Panelia is a village in the municipality of Eura in Satakunta, Finland. It is located on the connecting road 2172, about away from the town centers of Eura and Harjavalta. Panelia has a population of 850 inhabitants, and, along with the Eurakoski village, it was the second urban area in the former municipality of Kiukainen, which joined Eura in 2009. History Panelia is an old village, established in the 13th century at the latest. The origin of the name is unclear, but Aarne Rauvola suggests that it refers to ''panni'', an old unit of measurement used for grain. Suomi-sarja
The Suomi-sarja is Finland's third highest ice hockey league. Suomi-sarja has 14 teams. Suomi-sarja has been played since the 1999–2000 season. Prior to this, Finland's third league had been Division II since 1975 and before that the Provincial Series since 1947. During the 1990s the series also included an Estonian team. The series was played in two segments in the 2006–2007 season. During the 2007–2008 season there were four divisions. Teams playing in the Suomi-sarja can be relegated to the 2. Founded as the Naisten I-divisioona () in 1985 by the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, when the number of teams playing in the Auroraliiga, top-tier national league was limited, the league was renamed Naisten Mestis prior to the 2012–13 season.
