Pamarru Assembly Constituency
Pamarru is a Scheduled Caste reserved constituency in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Machilipatnam Lok Sabha constituency. Varla Kumar Raja is the current MLA of the constituency, having won the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from Telugu Desam Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 180,834 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 1951, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (1951)''. 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election was held in the States and union territories of India, Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 13 May 2024 for constituting the 16th Andhra Pradesh Assembly, sixteenth Andhra Pradesh Assembly. They were held alongside the 2024 Indian general election. The election results were declared on 4 June 2024. The political alliance Kutami, led by the Telugu Desam Party won the election in a Landslide (politics), landslide, winning 164 of the 175 seats. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won 135 out of 144 contested seats. In comparison, the Janasena Party (JSP) won all the 21 seats it contested and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 8 out of 10 contested seats. The 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Legislative Assembly, Telangana. 1952 Madras Legislative Assembly Election
The 1952 Madras State Legislative Assembly election was held on 27 March 1952 to elect all 375 members of the Legislative Assembly of Madras State (present-day Tamil Nadu). They were the first elections held in the state following Indian independence. Although voting was held in 1952, the Election Commission of India officially designated it as taking place in 1951. No party won an outright majority in the election, though the Indian National Congress (INC) emerged as the largest party with 152 seats and more than a third of the vote. The Communist Party of India (CPI) came in second with 62 seats, followed by the Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party (KMPP) with 35 seats. C. Movva Mohana Rao
Movva is the name of a well-known village in the Krishna district of the Indian state known as Andhra Pradesh. It is located in 'Movva mandal of Machilipatnam revenue division'. It is one of the villages in the mandal to be a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region. It is the hometown of the famous 17th century Telugu poet Kshetrayya (c.1600-80). In fact, Kshetrayya was so much attached to his native village and the Krishna deity of the main temple here that his 'nom de plume' or Mudra(signature), which appears towards the end of every composition written by him, is "Muvva Gopala".
