Palomino (First Aid Kit Album)
''Palomino'' is the fifth studio album by Swedish country folk duo First Aid Kit. It is their first release since 2021's live album ''Who by Fire'' and their first studio project since ''Ruins'' in 2018. The album was released on 4 November 2022 via Columbia Records and was promoted by an extensive tour of the UK, Europe and North America. Deluxe edition with 5 additional tracks was released on 7 July 2023. Background The album was announced on 22 June 2022 alongside the release of "Angel". Of the song, the band told ''NME'' "it feels special to release a song after such a long hiatus. Today we're so thrilled to finally share our new track 'Angel' – a hopeful tune for these crazy times about accepting other people even if you don't always see eye to eye. First Aid Kit (band)
First Aid Kit is a Swedish folk duo consisting of the sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, born in 1990 and 1993, respectively. When performing live, they are accompanied by a drummer, a guitarist and a keyboard player. In 2008, they gained some Internet popularity for their cover of the Fleet Foxes' song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". ''Rolling Stone'' magazine chose their song "Emmylou" as the number 10 "Single of the Year" in 2012. They have released five albums, four EPs and several singles. In 2015, they were nominated for a Brit Award as one of the five best international groups. They were nominated again in 2019 and 2023. Tom Elmhirst (born 8 June 1971) is a British mix engineer. He has worked with artists including Adele, Beck, David Bowie, Cage the Elephant, Lady Gaga, Residente, and Amy Winehouse, among many others. Elmhirst has received numerous accolades and nominations. He has won sixteen Grammy Awards, a Latin Grammy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Music Producers Guild Awards for Mix Engineer of the Year. Eric Boulanger is an American mastering engineer and professional violinist. Eric is owner and chief engineer of the Bakery, an audio and vinyl mastering studio located in Los Angeles, California. Boulanger has worked with artists including Weezer, Green Day, Barbra Streisand, the Carpenters, and on the soundtrack to the film '' La La Land''. In 2018, Eric won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album for ''50 Años Tocando Para Ti (Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá)'' with Rafa Sardina. Marc Bolan
Marc Bolan ( ; born Mark Feld; 30 September 1947 – 16 September 1977) was an English guitarist, singer and songwriter. He was a pioneer of the glam rock movement in the early 1970s with his band T. Rex. Bolan was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 as a member of T. Rex. In the late 1960s, he rose to fame as the founder and leader of the psychedelic folk band Tyrannosaurus Rex, with whom he released four critically acclaimed albums and had one minor hit "Debora".
