Palace Of Mirrors
''Palace of Mirrors'' is the fourth and final full-length album by Estradasphere. It was released on September 19, 2006. The album is composed entirely of instrumental tracks. The album also signifies a significant change in the band's lineup, with the departure of saxophonist and vocalist John Whooley. This departure is reflected in the album's sound de-emphasis of horns (only being a part of orchestral backing played by session musicians) and vocals. Margaret Peterson Haddix
Margaret Peterson Haddix (born April 9, 1964) is an American writer known best for the two children's series, Shadow Children (series), ''Shadow Children'' (1998–2006) and The Missing (novel series), ''The Missing'' (2008–2015). She also wrote the tenth volume in the multiple-author series ''The 39 Clues''. Estradasphere
Estradasphere was an American experimental rock band that originated in Santa Cruz, California, during the late 1990s. The band, which in its last incarnation was based in Seattle, consisted of six multi-instrumentalists from a variety of musical backgrounds trained in disciplines ranging from classical music and jazz to heavy metal. In November 2007, members of Estradasphere started touring with Amanda Palmer of The Dresden Dolls, as well as helping to produce her debut solo album ''Who Killed Amanda Palmer''. The band is on a "permanent hiatus" since 2010. Music Estradasphere were influenced by many different artists from many different subgenres, such as jazz, funk, techno, classical music, pop, heavy metal, New Age, Latin, Balkan, klezmer, Greek and Romani. He is an active touring and recording member of Secret Chiefs 3, Extra Life, and Alora Crucible; a founding member of the bands Ultraphauna and Estradasphere; and one half of the electroacoustic chamber duo Probosci. John Whooley
John Whooley, now John Whoolilurie, is a California-based musician best known for playing the saxophone and other instruments with the band Estradasphere. In addition to performing, he also composed much of the band's music until he left the band to live in Joshua Tree, California. Whooley was also a member of the "jam supergroup" Santa Cruz Hemp Allstars, put together by Santa Cruz promoter -- Poco Marshall. Other side projects include Phree Radicals, Netwerk: Electric and his soloproject, Whoolilicious. With his wife Moriah-Melin, he formed the band MoJoW and the Vibration Army. When performing live, the Army uses electronic looping pedals to layer multiple instruments or vocals in real time. MoJoW toured Europe in the summer of 2005, and released their first album, Undivided, later that year.
