Pakistan National Cricket Team
The Pakistan men's national cricket team represents Pakistan in international cricket. It is controlled by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the governing body for cricket in Pakistan, which is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Pakistan compete in cricket tours and tournaments sanctioned by the PCB and other regional or international cricket bodies in Test cricket, Test, One Day International (ODI), and Twenty20 International (T20) formats. Pakistan were given Test status in 1952 following a recommendation from India cricket team, India, but faced limited international success until the 1980s, when they became fixtures in the latter stages of tournaments. They won their first international trophy, the ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC World Cup, in 1992, and then won the Asia Cup in 2000. Hong Kong Cricket Sixes
The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is a six-a-side international cricket tournament held at the Kowloon Cricket Club and Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok comprising between eight and twelve teams. Organised by Cricket Hong Kong, it is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council. The tournament is designed for television viewing, with rules and a venue that encourage aggressive batting and high scoring. Because every player (except the wicket-keeper) is required to bowl one over, the format suits all-rounders. 2009 ICC World Twenty20
The 2009 ICC World Twenty20 was the second edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20 that took place in England in June 2009. As before, the tournament featured 12 male teams – nine of the ten Test cricket, Test-playing nations and three associate nations, which earned their places through a 2008 World Twenty20 Qualifier, qualification tournament. International Cricket Council, ICC Full member Zimbabwe national cricket team, Zimbabwe were expelled from the tournament due to political reasons. The 2007 ICC World Twenty20 was the inaugural edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20 that was contested in South Africa from 11 to 24 September 2007. Twelve teams took part in the thirteen-day tournament—the ten Test-playing nations and the finalists of the 2007 World Cricket League Division One tournament: Kenya and Scotland.
