Padri Pass
Padri Top or Padri Pass is a hill station situated North of Bhaderwah on [interstate link] Bhaderwah–Chamba Road, Bhaderwah–Chamba National Highway. It has long meadows and used for adventure sports like snow-skiing in winters and Paragliding in summers. It is the highest Pass on Bhaderwah-Chamba National Highway located between the borders of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Bhaderwah or Bhadarwah (also ''Bhaderwah Valley'') is a town, tehsil, and sub-district in the Doda district of Jammu Division of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir, India. Bhaderwah–Chamba Road
The Bhaderwah–Chamba Road is an interstate link road that connects the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Batote
Batote is a town and a notified area committee, near Ramban town in Ramban district of Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir on NH 44 (former name NH 1A) just beyond Ramban, Patnitop while going towards Srinagar. National Highway 1A (India, Old Numbering)
National Highway 1A (NH 1A) was a National Highway in North India that connected the Kashmir valley to Jammu and the rest of India. The northern terminal was in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir and the southern terminal was in Jalandhar. Stretches of old NH 1A ran through some extremely treacherous terrain and shut-offs because of avalanches or landslides common in Winter months. The famous Jawahar Tunnel that connects Jammu with the Kashmir Valley across the Pir Panjal Range falls en route. The total length of NH 1A was 663 km. New tunnels on the road were planned to reduce the distance between the two cities by 82 km and the travel time by two-thirds. Pul Doda
Pul Doda is a small township located in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. It was once a bustling town until 2008, when it was submerged in the river Chenab due to the rise in water levels caused by the Baglihar Dam. Etymology The name "Pul Doda" is derived from the bridges that were built in the area. History The first bridge constructed here was the only way to cross the Chenab river and reach Doda city. In 1957, a suspension motorable bridge was built in Pul Doda after a lorry bridge was damaged. This bridge remained the only one connecting the NH1B (now NH244) with the city of Doda. Over the years, several more bridges were built in Pul Doda, including a concrete bridge in 1997 and the Ganpat Bridge in 2008, which is considered the highest road bridge in India.
