Pentium Extreme Edition
Pentium D is a range of desktop 64-bit x86-64 processors based on the NetBurst microarchitecture, which is the dual-core variant of the Pentium 4 manufactured by Intel. Each CPU comprised two cores. The brand's first processor, codenamed Smithfield and manufactured on the 90 nm process, was released on May 25, 2005, followed by the 65 nm Presler nine months later. The core implementation on the 90 nm Smithfield and later 65 nm Presler are designed differently but are functionally the same. The 90 nm Smithfield contains a single die, with two adjoined but functionally separate CPU cores cut from the same wafer. The later 65 nm Presler utilized a multi-chip module package, where two discrete dies each containing a single core reside on the CPU substrate. Neither the 90 nm Smithfield nor the 65 nm Presler were capable of direct core to core communication, relying instead on the northbridge link to send information between the two cores. By 2004, the NetBurst processors reached a ...

Preboot Execution Environment
In computing, the Preboot eXecution Environment (PXE; often pronounced as ''pixie''), often called PXE boot (''pixie boot''), is a specification describing a standardized client–server environment that boots a software assembly, retrieved from a network, on PXE-enabled clients. On the client side it requires only a PXE-capable network interface controller (NIC), and uses a small set of industry-standard network protocols such as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP). The concept behind the PXE originated in the early days of protocols like BOOTP/DHCP/TFTP, and it forms part of the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) standard. In modern data centers, PXE is the most frequent choice for operating system booting, installation and deployment. Overview Since the beginning of computer networks, there has been a persistent need for client systems which can boot appropriate software images, with appropriate configu ...

Pseudoxanthoma Elasticum
Pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE) is a genetic disease that causes mineralization of elastic fibers in some tissues. The most common problems arise in the skin and eyes, and later in blood vessels in the form of premature atherosclerosis. PXE is caused by autosomal recessive mutations in the '' ABCC6'' gene on the short arm of chromosome 16 (16p13.1). Signs and symptoms Dermatological manifestations Usually, pseudoxanthoma elasticum affects the skin first, often in childhood or early adolescence. Small, yellowish papular lesions form and cutaneous laxity mainly affect the neck, axillae (armpits), groin, and flexural creases (the inside parts of the elbows and knees). Skin may become lax and redundant. Many individuals have "oblique mental creases" (horizontal grooves of the chin). The lesions are asymptomatic and have a stochastic pattern of growth and spread. Ocular manifestations PXE first affects the retina through a dimpling of the Bruch membrane (a thin membrane separa ...

Proof And Experimental Establishment
The Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) is an Indian defence laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Located in Balasore, Orissa, India. its main purpose concerns the research and development of technologies and products in the area of medium and large caliber weapons and their ammunition. PXE is organised under the Armament and Combat Engineering Cluster of DRDO. History In March 1894, the first proof testing in India was carried out, with there being fired six inch (152 mm) Bag Loader Howitzers and 12 Pounder Shrapnel shells under the command of Captain R.H. Mahon. He recommended the creation of a dedicated department for this purpose. The Proof Department in India was sanctioned in May 1895. It was established on 7 November 1895, with headquarters at Balasore and Lt. R.T. Moorre as the head. Later, the establishment was renamed to the Proof & Experimental Department, and later still was renamed as PXE. The establishment was orga ...

PXE (EP)
''PXE'' (pronounced "pixie") is an EP by Swedish singer Ecco2K, released on 31 March 2021 through Year0001. Production and composition A surprise album, it was accompanied by a video from artist and animator Freddy Carrasco, where Ecco meets up with an alter ego named Echo while hanging out on a transmission tower. The visuals were inspired by anime and the dialogue box from the ''Pokémon'' games. The album's title was taken from the idea of "pixie music". Unlike his previous album '' E'', ''PXE'' was produced entirely by Ecco2K. It was the first project he finished upon returning to Sweden. Ecco2K said the album is "more about sincerity, being raw and unfiltered," adding "it's about being okay with the way that I am." Reception In a 7.0/10 review to ''Pitchfork'', Ben Dandridge-Lemco wrote that, "with glitchy stops and starts that attract and repel, ''PXE'' sounds like an exciting and exploratory new direction", and that the album is "a testament to Ecco2k's evolution as a ...
