Prostitution is a type of sex work that involves engaging in sexual activity in exchange for payment. José Ramón Miguel Agustín Pro Juárez, also known as Blessed Miguel Pro, SJ (January 13, 1891 – November 23, 1927) was a Mexican Jesuit priest executed under the presidency of Plutarco Elías Calles on the false charges of bombing and attempted assassination of former Mexican President Álvaro Obregón. Pro's arrest, without a trial or evidential support, gained prominence during the Cristero War. Known for his religious piety and innocence, he was beatified in Rome on September 25, 1988, by Pope John Paul II as a Catholic martyr, killed ''in odium fidei'' ("in hatred of the faith"). The Progressives (Latvia)
The Progressives ( , PRO) is a social-democratic and green political party in Latvia. The party was founded on 25 February 2017. Since 4 September 2021 its leaders have been Antoņina Ņenaševa and Atis Švinka. The Progressives have 11 seats on Riga City Council and 10 seats in the Saeima and one seat in the European Parliament. The pro-movement () or the pro-parties (''pro-parteien'') was understood to be a conglomerate of parties, voter associations and associations in Germany that were de jure independent, but de facto closely intertwined with one another in terms of personnel, organization and program. The Modern Democratic Party (, PDM) is a centre-right political party of the Republic of Moldova. It was founded and led by Andrian Candu, the former President of the Moldovan Parliament, under the original name of Pro Moldova.
