PKN Arts And Science College
PKN Arts & Science College is one of several Arts and Science colleges of Madurai district, suited in suburb of Tirumangalam, Madurai. It was established by the PKN Vidhyasala Educational Trust in the year 1996. The College was affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University and received ''Best College Award'' for the years 2005, 2006, 2008. It was the first Arts & Science College in Tirumangalam taluk. Shri Pathirakali Mariamman Temple ( ta, ஸ்ரீ பத்திரகாளி மாரியம்மன் திருக்கோவில்) is one of the oldest temples in Madurai district. The Thirumangalam city is known that the mangalyam for goddess Meenakshi of Madurai was designed and done here, so the name Tiru+Mangal(y)am came.
