Phenylglyoxylic acid is the organic compound with the formula C6H5C(O)CO2H. The conjugate base, known as benzoylformate is the substrate of benzoylformate decarboxylase, a thiamine diphosphate-dependent enzyme: :benzoylformate + H+ benzaldehyde + CO2 It is a colourless solid with a melting point of 64–66 °C and is moderately acidic (pKa, p''K''a = 2.15). Ponto-geniculo-occipital Waves
Ponto-geniculo-occipital waves or PGO waves are distinctive wave forms of propagating activity between three key brain regions: the pons, lateral geniculate nucleus, and occipital lobe; specifically, they are phasic field potentials. These waves can be recorded from any of these three structures during and immediately before REM sleep. The waves begin as electrical pulses from the pons, then move to the lateral geniculate nucleus residing in the thalamus, and end in the primary visual cortex of the occipital lobe. The appearances of these waves are most prominent in the period right before REM sleep, albeit they have been recorded during wakefulness as well. They are theorized to be intricately involved with eye movement of both wake and sleep cycles in many different animals. Profile-guided optimization (PGO, sometimes pronounced as ''pogo''), also known as profile-directed feedback (PDF), and feedback-directed optimization (FDO) is a compiler optimization technique in computer programming that uses profiling to improve program runtime performance. Method Optimization techniques based on static program analysis of the source code consider code performance improvements without actually executing the program. No dynamic program analysis is performed. The analysis may even consider code within loops including the number of times the loop will execute, for example in loop unrolling. In the absence of all the run time information, static program analysis can not take into account how frequently that code section is actually executed. PGO Automobiles is a French car manufacturer, producing exclusive series' of sports cars. The brand operates in the same special market as Wiesmann, and Donkervoort. Their cars are considered an appropriate solution for connoisseurs seeking individuality and style. The Persian Gulf Online Organization (or Persian Gulf Organization PGO, also known as Iranians for International Cooperation (IIC)'s Persian Gulf Task Force or PGTF) is a non-governmental entity consisting of a network of volunteers across the globe dedicated to promoting the name Persian Gulf against the fictitious name "Arabian Gulf" in the Persian Gulf naming dispute.
