PGA Of Argentina Tour
The TPG Tour (Tour de Profesionales de Golf) is the principal professional golf tour in Argentina. The tour was formed in 2007, following disputes within the PGA of Argentina, who had operated the main professional tour in the country in previous years. The tour operated exclusively in Argentina in its inaugural season, but this changed in 2008 with the inclusion of the Carlos Franco Invitational, held in Paraguay. There were seventeen events in 2007 and sixteen in 2008, including the flagship Argentine Open and Argentine Masters, as well as the major regional opens, the South Open, Center Open, North Open and Coast Open. The TPG Tour developed a close relationship with the higher level Tour de las Américas, with several events being co-sanctioned, which resulted in increased prize funds and stronger fields. Clodomiro Carranza
Clodomiro Carranza Mujica (born 26 April 1982) is an Argentinian professional golfer who has played predominantly on the European Tour, Web.com Tour, Tour de las Américas and various other worldwide tours. Professional career Carranza turned professional in 2002 and played much of his early career on the Argentine national professional golf tour. His first professional win came at the 2005 Acantilados Grand Prix on the PGA of Argentina Tour. In 2005 Carranza became a member of the Tour de las Américas and achieved his first win on the tour at the 2008 Carlos Franco Invitational. From 2005 to 2008 Carranza also played a limited number of events on the Challenge Tour before gaining playing rights for the European Tour for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. However Carranza failed to find success on the European Tour achieving just one top ten finish in 41 career events, eventually losing his tour card following the 2011 season. Ricardo González (golfer)
Ricardo González (born 24 October 1969) is an Argentine professional golfer. Professional career González turned professional in 1986, and has spent much of his career in Europe. He won a place on the European Tour in 1992 through qualifying school after playing on the second tier Challenge Tour in 1991. Having failed to win sufficient money to retain his tour card, he returned to the Challenge Tour in 1993. Having moved to Africa, González returned to Europe in 1998 after winning the Challenge Tour sanctioned Tusker Kenya Open, and secured a second shot on the European Tour by finishing 5th on the Challenge Tour Rankings that season. He has successfully retained his playing privileges since then by consistently finishing inside the top 115 of the Order of Merit each year.
