PC De Oliveira
Paulo César de Oliveira (born 6 September 1960), better known as PC de Oliveira, is a Brazilian former professional footballer, futsal player and manager. Player career Paulo César de Oliveira began his career as a field player at Ferroviária, where he played from 1977 to 1985. At the age of 24, he became a futsal player, playing especially for teams from Rio Grande do Sul such as Grêmio FBPA. He ended his career in 1990. Managerial career PC began his coaching career in 1994 at Itaqui, and in 1996 he was intercontinental futsal champion with SC Internacional, against FC Barcelona. He also managed to repeat the feat with Ulbra Canoas in 1999, later coaching the Spanish team Playas de Castellón. In 2005 he was invited to be coach of the Brazil national futsal team. Araraquara
Araraquara ( or ) is a city in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 250.314 (2022 est.) in an area of . South American Games
The South American Games (also known as ODESUR Games; Spanish: ''Juegos Suramericanos''; Portuguese: ''Jogos Sul-Americanos''), formerly the Southern Cross Games (Spanish: ''Juegos Cruz del Sur'') is a regional multi-sport event held between nations from South America, organized by the ODESUR (acronym for "Organización Deportiva Suramericana" – ''South American Sports Organization''. The first Games were held in 1978 in La Paz, Bolivia. They have since been held every four years, with the most recent edition in 2018 in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The Futsal tournament of the 2006 Lusophony Games was played in Macau, People's Republic of China. The venue was the Macao East Asian Games Dome. The tournament was played from 9 to 14 October 2006, and there was just the men's competition. Despite drawing with Portugal in the final game and ending with the same points, Brazil eventually won the tournament by advantage on goal average. Futsal at the 2007 Pan American Games took place at the Rio Centro Complex in a temporary facility. It was the first time the sport was played in a Pan American Games, mainly because Brazil hosted the games, and it is very popular there. In each group, each team played against all others once and the two best teams in each group advanced to the semifinals. Copa América De Futsal
The CONMEBOL Copa América de Futsal is the main national futsal competition of the CONMEBOL nations organized by the FIFA. It was first held in 1964 and was organized by Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF) as "Sudamericano". The tournament was also a qualifier for the AMF Futsal World Cup. The AMF organised the championship until 1989. In 1992 Conmebol organized its first South American in Aracaju under the name "Campeonato Conmebol de Futsal (FIFA)". In that tournament only 4 national teams participated (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Ecuador) and it was used as a World Cup qualifier as well than the tournaments of 1996 and 2000 that were called with the same name. The other tournaments played between 1995 and 1999 were played in Brazil and were called Taça América de Futsal FIFA. The 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the sixth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The FIFA Futsal World Cup is an international futsal competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA, the sport's global governing body. Since the first edition that took place in 1989 in the Netherlands, the tournament has been held every four years since 1992 in the even year between two 11-a-side World Cups. The current champions are Portugal, who won their first world title after beating the 2016 defending champions Argentina in the final of the 2021 tournament in Lithuania. The Taça Brasil de Futsal (Portuguese for ''Brazil Futsal Trophy'') is a Brazilian futsal championship. It was the only futsal competition in Brazil until 1996, when the Liga Futsal started. The Taça Brasil is one of the most traditional Brazilian Futsal Confederation (CBFS) competitions. The competition reunites representatives of the states (mostly of them are the state champions). The first edition was disputed in 1968, in Lages, Santa Catarina state, and the champion was Carioca from Rio de Janeiro state, with Palmeiras from São Paulo finishing as the runner-up.
