Takeshi Fukunaga is a Japanese filmmaker based in New York. His first feature film, '' Out of My Hand'' (2015) premiered in the Panorama section at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival and won the US Fiction Award at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival. He won the ''George C. Lin Emerging Filmmaker Award'' at the 2015 San Diego Asian Film Festival. The film was later released worldwide through Ava DuVernay’s distribution company, ARRAY. Takeshi was nominated for the John Cassavetes Award at the 2016 Independent Spirit Awards. Donari Braxton (born November 11, 1982) is an American filmmaker and writer. His independent narrative films are generally considered experimental, though they have been featured diversely in both film festivals and art film reviews internationally. He is known for creating performance and video art for gallery exhibitions, and with the 2013 launch of the photo/video series "how-to-be-alone.com", began freely releasing and distributing such content online. Bishop Blay (born 1980) is a Liberian actor. Biography Blay was born in Liberia in 1980. During the Liberian Civil War, Blay worked as a rubber tree tapper in one of the largest rubber plantations in the country. He escaped to Ghana and lived at a refugee camp. During his time at the camp, he began his acting training by performing in improvised "street dramas". After the war, he acted in Liberian film and theater productions. Blay also worked in a parking lot in Monrovia when not acting. In 2015, Blay made his feature film debut in Takeshi Fukunaga's '' Out of My Hand''. He played Cisco, a rubber tapper who is involved in a labor dispute, and eventually decides to immigrate to New York. When he arrives in America, Blay's character is forced to confront his dark past. The 65th annual Berlin International Film Festival was held from 5 to 15 February 2015, with American film director Darren Aronofsky as the president of the jury. German film director Wim Wenders was presented with the Honorary Golden Bear. The first seven films of the festival were announced on 15 December 2014. Isabel Coixet's '' Nobody Wants the Night'' was the festival's opening film. Iranian docu-drama ''Taxi'', directed by Jafar Panahi, won the Golden Bear, and was the closing film of the festival.
