''Our Father and the Gypsy'' (Swedish: ''Gud Fader och tattaren'' or ''Tattarblod'') is a 1954 Swedish drama film directed by Hampe Faustman and starring Ulf Palme, Adolf Jahr and Doris Svedlund.Wright p.125 It was shot at the Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm with location shooting around Haninge. The film's sets were designed by the art director Nils Nilsson. Hampe Faustman
Erik "Hampe" Faustman (born Erik Stellan Chatham; 3 July 1919 – 26 August 1961) was a Swedish actor and film director. He appeared in more than 20 films between 1940 and 1961. He also directed 20 films between 1943 and 1955. He was married to actress Gunn Wållgren 1941–1949. John Elfström
Per Johan Hilding "John" Elfström (20 April 1902 – 27 March 1981) was a Swedish film actor who appeared in more than 120 films. He is most famous for starring in the Åsa-Nisse series of films. He foremost made lighter comedies, even if he sometimes also appeared in heavier contexts. Ingmar Bergman had him play the blind worker in Music in Darkness (1948), and in Arne Mattsson's ''One Summer of Happiness'' (1951) he played an unpleasant priest. Gunvor Pontén
Gunvor Margareta Pontén (11 February 1929 – 16 February 2023) was a Swedish actress who graduated from the Royal Dramatic Training Academy in 1954. She appeared in over 50 films and television shows starting in 1949. She starred in the film ''Leva på 'Hoppet''', which won the Silver Bear, Silver Bear (Comedies) award at the 1st Berlin International Film Festival. Gunvor Pontén was the daughter of Ruben Pontén and Dagny Carlqvist. She was also a cousin of fashion designer Gunilla Pontén and actor Tomas Pontén. After graduating in 1948 she started acting school at Terserus teaterskola 1948–1950, and the Royal Dramatic Training Academy 1951–1954. She worked within the field of acting at Stadsteatern, Folkteatern in Gothenburg and Oscarsteatern. Pontén died on 16 February 2023, at the age of 94. Johan Allan Edwall (25 August 1924 – 7 February 1997) was a Swedish actor, director, author, composer and singer, best-known outside Sweden for the small roles he played in some of Ingmar Bergman's films, such as ''Fanny and Alexander'' (1982). He found his largest audience in the Scandinavian countries for playing lovable characters in several of the film and TV adaptations of the children's stories by Astrid Lindgren. Jan Wilhelm Malmsjö (born 29 May 1932) is a Swedish stage and film actor, musical star and singer. He is married to Marie Göranzon and is the father of Jonas Malmsjö. Biography Malmsjö was born in Lund, Sweden.
