Oskar Rönningberg
Oskar Mikael Rönningberg (born 2 April 1986) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a centre back. He represented Helsingborgs IF between 2006 and 2008 before his career was cut short because of an injury. He won two caps for the Sweden national team in 2008. Club career Early career Rönningberg started off his career with Torns IF in Lund, helping his youth team finish fourth in the 2001 season of Pojkallsvenskan. In 2002, Rönningberg left Torns IF to sign with the Allsvenskan club Helsingborgs IF. In 2006 he became the first ever former Torns IF player to play in Allsvenskan. Helsingborgs IF 2006 season Rönningberg made his Allsvenskan debut for Helsingborg on 2 May 2006 in a home game against Östers IF, which Helsingborg won 4–0. Lund
Lund (, , ) is a city in the southern Swedish provinces of Sweden, province of Scania, across the Øresund, Öresund strait from Copenhagen. 2006 Helsingborgs IF Season
Helsingborgs IF had a successful season with the return of Henrik Larsson from Barcelona putting the club into international spotlight. Following a dire start to the season, coach Peter Swärdh was sacked and replaced by Stuart Baxter, the Englishman's first Swedish job for five years. A strong end to the season saw Helsingborg briefly go into title contention, but that was not to be. Instead, Helsingborg beat Gefle 2-0 in the cup final, qualifying for the UEFA Cup as an effect. Svenska Cupen (, ''The Swedish Cup'') is a knockout cup competition in Swedish football and the main Swedish football cup. Svenska Cupen usually refers to the men's tournament, although a women's tournament is also held. Each year 96 teams compete, comprising the 16 teams from Allsvenskan and the 16 teams of Superettan together with 64 teams from lower tiers of the league system. The winners qualify for the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League. The winner is awarded Gustaf VI Adolf Cup. The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) represents the United States in men's international soccer competitions. The team is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation and is a member of FIFA and CONCACAF. Behrang Safari ( fa, بهرنگ صفری, ; born 9 February 1985) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Starting off his professional career with Malmö FF in 2004, he went on to represent FC Basel and RSC Anderlecht before retiring at Malmö in 2020. A full international between 2008 and 2013, he won 31 caps for the Sweden national team and was named in their UEFA Euro 2012 squad. The Sweden national under-21 football team is the football team representing Sweden in competitions for under-21 year old players and is controlled by the Swedish Football Association. The Swedish U21 team came into existence, following the realignment of UEFA European Under-23 Championship, which changed to be an Under-21 competition in 1978. Sweden made their first European Under-21 Championship appearance in 1986. In 2015, Sweden became champions for the first time. 2008 Helsingborgs IF Season
Helsingborgs IF had a resurgence season on the domestic scene, finishing in the top four once again. With Henrik Larsson having his best season following his return, the side was able to compensate for the loss of Razak Omotoyossi to Saudi Arabia. The 4th place finish meant Helsingborg qualified for Europe once more.
