Order Of Kinabalu
The Illustrious Order of Kinabalu (Malay: ''Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Kinabalu'') is the only order conferred by the Governor of Sabah, Malaysia. Background The Illustrious Order of Kinabalu is established by virtue of Section 3(a) of State Honours Enactment 1963. The Enactment deals with all aspects including process of nomination, conferral, wearing of medals, promotion in the Order and quotas. Appointments to the Order are made to persons who have rendered "meritorious service to the State". Appointment to the Order is submitted to the Governor by the Chief Minister; every appointment to the Order is by warrant under the hand of the Governor. Non-citizens may be appointed as honorary members of the Order. The chief minister of Sabah is the head of government of Sabah, Malaysia. Shane Leslie Stone (born 25 September 1950) is an Australian political figure. He is a member and former leader of the Country Liberal Party, and was the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory between May 1995 and February 1999.
