Orange Cap
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a Twenty20 cricket competition based in India. The tournament honours players with several awards at the end of each season. These include the Orange Cap, Purple Cap, Maximum Sixes Award, Most Valuable Player and Emerging Player of the Year, among others. Orange Cap The Orange Cap, currently known as the ''Aramco Orange Cap'' for sponsorship reasons, is presented to the leading run scorer in the Indian Premier League (IPL). It was introduced on 25 April 2008, a week after the start of the inaugural season of the IPL. The batsman with most runs in the tournament during the course of the season would wear the Orange Cap while fielding, with the overall leading run-scorer at the conclusion of the tournament winning the actual Orange Cap award on the day of the season's final. The 2009 Indian Premier League season, abbreviated as IPL 2 or the 2009 IPL, was the second season of the Indian Premier League, established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The tournament was hosted by South Africa and was played between 18 April and 24 May 2009. The 2008 Indian Premier League season was the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League, established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI in 2007. The season commenced on 18 April 2008 with the final match was held on 1 June 2008. The competition started with a Round-robin tournament, double round robin league stage, in which each of the 8 teams played a home match and an away match against every other team. These matches were followed by two semi-finals and a final. The 2011 Indian Premier League season, abbreviated as IPL 4 or the IPL 2011, was the fourth season of the Indian Premier League, the top Twenty20 cricket league in India. The tournament was hosted in India and the opening and closing ceremonies were held in M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, the home venue of the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings. The Sunrisers Hyderabad, also known as SRH, are a professional Twenty20 cricket team based in Hyderabad, Telangana, that competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Robin Venu Uthappa (; ; born 11 November 1985) is an Indian former cricketer. He represented the Indian national team in One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket.
