The Oman national football team () represents Oman in men's international association football, football and is controlled by the Oman Football Association. History World Cup and Asian Cup The Oman national football team has made notable efforts in international competitions but has not qualified for the FIFA World Cup. Oman Club (; also known locally as ''Al-Ahmar'', "The Red(s)" or simply as Oman) is an Omani list of football clubs in Oman, football club based in Muscat, Oman, Muscat. 2008 WAFF Championship
The 2008 WAFF Championship was the fifth West Asian Football Federation Championship, an international tournament for West Asian countries and territories. It was hosted by Iran. Teams 4 members from 6 members of WAFF participated in this tournament. Oman and Qatar, which were not members of WAFF, also participated as guests. Hani Al Dhabit
Hani Al-Dhabit Faraj Bait Al-Noobi (; born 15 October 1979), commonly known as Hani Al-Dhabit, is an Omani former professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. He also played for the Oman national team. Club career Hani Al-Dhabit is a long-time veteran of the most successful sports club in Oman, Dhofar S.C.S.C. and was in the squad for over 10 years. He was the captain of Dhofar and wore the number 14 jersey, as he had previously worn throughout his career with the national team. The club currently plays in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association, Omani football. Their home ground is Al-Saada Stadium, but they also recognize the older Salalah Sports Complex as their home ground. The 19th Arabian Gulf Cup () was the nineteenth edition of the biannual Gulf Cup competition.
