Olowo Of Owo
The Olowo of Owo is the paramount Yoruba king of Owo, a city in Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria, which served as the capital of Yoruba people, Yoruba between 1400 and 1600 Anno Domini, AD. Ojugbelu Arere, the first Olowo of Owo, was a direct descendant of Oduduwa, known as the ''father of the Yorubas''. The current Olowo of Owo is His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, who is also the 32nd paramount ruler of Owo Monarchy, kingdom. The name ''Owo'' meaning ''Respect,'' is said to have been derived from the intrigue attitude of Ojugbelu Arere, Ojugbelu, the first ''Olowo of Owo who ruled the kingdom from 1019 to 1070.'' Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III
Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III is the Olowo of Owo and Ruler of Owo Land in Ondo State, Nigeria. He became the Ajaka (Olowo), Olowo after his father, Oba Adekola Ogunoye II, who held the title from 1968, until his death in 1992. On December 14, 2019, Ogunoye was formally installed as a traditional ruler in a significant ceremony in Ondo State. The event marked the beginning of his reign as he was presented with the staff of office by Governor Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu. This symbolic act affirmed Ogunoye's authority and leadership within his community. Olowo Rerengejen
Olowo Rerengenjen was the traditional ruler of Owo Kingdom, an ancient Yoruba city-state, modern day southwestern Nigeria.
