Ohisama
is a Japanese television drama that aired on NHK in 2011 in the Asadora time slot. Originally it was planned to air from March 28, 2011 (same as 2005's Asadora series Fight) to September 24, 2011, but it was delayed due to the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan. It later aired from April 4, 2011 to October 1, 2011, same as 1988's and 1994's . Carnation (TV Series)
is a Japanese historical drama television series and the 85th asadora series of NHK. It premiered on 3 October 2011 and ended on 31 March 2012. The series is inspired by the life of fashion designer Ayako Koshino in Kishiwada, Osaka. Ayako was the mother of famous designers Hiroko Koshino, Junko Koshino, and Michiko Koshino. Plot The story begins in 1924 when Itoko Ohara is a rambunctious and free-spirited 11-year-old girl. The eldest daughter of Zensaku, who runs a small kimono fabric shop, and Chiyo, who left her rich family to elope with Zensaku, Itoko loves the Danjiri Matsuri, but is upset that girls are not allowed to participate. Mao Inoue (井上 真央, ''Inoue Mao'', born January 9, 1987), is a Japanese actress. Career Early life Maiko was born on March 15, 1985, in Seattle, USA to an American father and Japanese mother. Tomoyo Harada
is a Japanese actress, singer, and lyricist, and was a popular idol in the 1980s. Career In 1982, Harada participated in a movie audition with the reason of wanting to meet Hiroyuki Sanada, and received a special award. Asadora
, colloquially known as , is a serialized, 15 minutes per episode, Japanese television drama program series broadcast in the mornings by Japanese public broadcaster NHK. The first such series aired in 1961 with the black-and-white , starring Takeshi Kitazawa which aired in Japan Monday through Friday mornings—it was also the only of such series to be aired for 20 minutes per episode. Hiroshi Inuzuka
was a Japanese actor, comedian and bassist. Inuzuka was one of the members of the Crazy Cats. His first starring role in the film was in ''Suteki na Konban wa'' directed by Yoshitarō Nomura and played the leading roles in six films in his acting career. Inuzuka announced his retirement as an actor and made his final appearance in ''Labyrinth of Cinema'' directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi in 2019. He then retired to Atami. Yuki Saito (actress)
Yuki Saito (; born September 10, 1966, in Minami-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese actress, singer and narrator. She attended Kanagawa Prefectural Shimizugaoka High School (now Yokohama Seiryo Sogo High School). She is well known in Japan for being a member of LDS Church, as she refuses to work on Sundays. Saito used a fake cigarette while filming the 1986 film '' Koisuru Onnatachi'' due to her beliefs. Teppan (TV Series)
is a Japanese television drama that aired on NHK in 2010–2011. It was the 83rd Asadora. It starred a new actress, Miori Takimoto, in the role of a young woman raised by an adopted family in Onomichi who learns of her real grandmother and decides to move to Osaka to start an okonomiyaki restaurant. The title word "teppan" refers to the metal surface on which okonomiyaki are cooked. Yumi Shirakawa
was a Japanese film and television actress. She was called the Japanese Grace Kelly when she debuted. She was scouted and joined Toho film company. Ayako Wakao
is a Japanese actress who was one of the country's biggest stars of the 20th century. Biography Wakao began her career contracted to Daiei Studios in 1951 as part of the fifth "New Face" group. She has gone on to appear in over 100 feature films, plus numerous television movies and series. She was a favorite actress of director Yasuzo Masumura, starring in 20 of his films.
