In journalism, a source is a person, publication, or knowledge of other record or document that gives timely information. Outside journalism, sources are sometimes known as "news sources". Examples of sources include official records, publications or Broadcasting, broadcasts, officials in government or business, organizations or corporations, witnesses of crime, accidents or other events, and people involved with or affected by a news event or issue. ''Yankee Doodle Dandy'' is a 1942 American biographical musical drama film about George M. Cohan, known as "The Man Who Owned Broadway". It stars James Cagney, Joan Leslie, Walter Huston, and Richard Whorf, and features Irene Manning, George Tobias, Rosemary DeCamp, Jeanne Cagney, and Vera Lewis. Off-the-Record Messaging
Off-the-record Messaging (OTR) is a cryptographic protocol that provides encryption for instant messaging conversations. OTR uses a combination of Advanced Encryption Standard, AES symmetric-key algorithm with 128 bits key length, the Diffie–Hellman key exchange with 1536 bits group size, and the SHA-1 hash function. In addition to authentication and encryption, OTR provides forward secrecy and Malleability (cryptography), malleable encryption. The primary motivation behind the protocol was providing deniable authentication for the conversation participants while keeping conversations confidential, like a private conversation in real life, or journalism sourcing#Using confidential information, off the record in journalism sourcing. This is in contrast with cryptography tools that produce output which can be later used as a verifiable record of the communication event and the identities of the participants. Off The Record Bristol (OTR) is a mental health support and information service in Bristol which provides counselling, group workshops, anti-stigma campaigns, creative therapies, LGBTQ+ networks and support, stress management workshops and community-based support groups for young people. OTR works across Bristol and South Gloucestershire and is free at every point of access. Founded in November 1965, Off The Record (Bristol) is one of the oldest established young people's mental health services in the country. The program aired on The Sports Network, TSN from 1997 to 2015, making it one of the longest-running sports talk shows on Canadian television. ''Off the Record'' is a comedy television series that aired on the DuMont Television Network in October 1948. Broadcast history The show, slated to air Tuesdays at 7pm ET, and starring Zero Mostel and Joey Faye, only lasted two episodes, October 19 and October 26, 1948. Mostel claimed he had been promised a live audience, but the available studio was too small to hold an audience. The setting was a radio station, a set at the Wanamaker Studios. The 1948 show is not to be confused with a 15-minute show in 1951–52, also called ''Off the Record'', aired from DuMont station WTTG in Washington, DC. This latter show, hosted by Art Lamb and Aletha Agee, featured singers lip-synching to current pop songs, and is on YouTube.
