Novorossiysk
Novorossiysk (, ; ) is a city in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It is one of the largest ports on the Black Sea. It is one of the few cities designated by the Soviet Union as a Hero City. Port Of Novorossiysk
Novorossiysk Sea Port (, NSP) is one of the largest ports in the Black Sea basin and the largest in Krasnodar Krai. At 8.3 km, the NSP berthing line is the longest among all the ports of Russia. The port is located on the Northeast coast of the Black Sea, in the Tsemes Bay (also called Novorossiysk Bay). The bay is ice-free and open for navigation all year round. Black Sea Fleet
The Black Sea Fleet () is the Naval fleet, fleet of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov and the Mediterranean Sea. The Black Sea Fleet, along with other Russian ground and air forces on the Crimea, Crimean Peninsula, are subordinate to the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. The Novorossiysky ''okrug'' was a district (''okrug'') of the Black Sea Governorate of the Caucasus Viceroyalty of the Russian Empire. It bordered the Kuban Oblast to the north, the Tuapsinsky okrug to the east, and the Black Sea to the south. Hero City is a Soviet title of honor, honorary title awarded for outstanding heroism during World War II (the Eastern Front (World War II), Eastern Front is known in most countries of the former Soviet Union as the Great Patriotic War (term), Great Patriotic War). Tsemes Bay
The Tsemes Bay (also ''Tsemess Bay'' and ''Novorossiysk Bay''; Russian: Цемесская бухта, ''Tsemesskaya bukhta'') is an ice-free bay located on the north-eastern coast of the Black Sea, in Krasnodar Krai of Russia.
