''2024'' was the 62nd edition of (MGP), the annual Norwegian music competition that serves as the country's preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. It was organised by Norway's public broadcaster NRK, and consisted of three semi-finals and a final, held between 13 January and 3 February 2024. Alessandra Watle Mele (born 5 September 2002), known mononymously as Alessandra, is an Italian-Norwegian singer. She competed in the seventh season of in 2022, reaching the live shows. Gaute Ormåsen
Gaute Ormåsen (born 20 April 1983 in Brumunddal, Hedmark) is a Norwegian singer and was the Idol runner-up to Kurt Nilsen in 2003. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 along with Ben Adams as a part of pop band Subwoolfer. He was offered a contract by BMG. Norway was represented by duo Dollie de Luxe, with the song "Lenge leve livet" at the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 5 May in Luxembourg City. Benedicte Christine Adrian Mouton (born 22 October 1963) is a Norwegian singer and artist. She has released material on her own, but is best known for her collaboration with Ingrid Bjørnov in the pop duo Dollie de Luxe (1980–1994). She has also distinguished herself as a solo artist for several years, with the role as "Queen of the Night" in Mozart's ''The Magic Flute'' at the Norwegian Opera. Trondheim Spektrum (formerly Nidarøhallen) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Trondheim, Norway. It is located on the peninsula of Øya next to the Nidelven river. It is the home arena for women's handball team Byåsen HE. A new arena was completed in 2019 and replaced the largest multi-use hall in the same location. The eight former halls originally went by the name Nidarøhallen.
