NonExist
Nonexist is a Swedish melodic death/thrash metal group formed by former Arch Enemy vocalist, Johan Liiva. Liiva, guitarist/bassist (on record) Johan Reinholdz (of Andromeda, Skyfire) and drummer Matte Modin (of Defleshed, Dark Funeral). They began playing together as Nonexist in 2000. NonExistat Allmusic.com In May 2002, they released their debut album, ''Deus Deceptor'', on New Hawen Records in Europe and Century Media in North America. The group attempted to put together a touring lineup in 2002, but this never occurred, in part due to the group members' commitment to other projects. In 2003 Liiva and Modin split from the group, leaving Reinholdz the primary (and only) member. In 2004 Liiva (now with Hearse) confirmed the group's demise. . |
Johan Reinholdz
Johan Reinholdz (born 30 June 1980) is a Swedish guitarist known for his work with the progressive metal band Andromeda (Swedish band), Andromeda, and melodic death metal bands Dark Tranquillity, NonExist and Skyfire (band), Skyfire. He composed Andromeda's debut album, ''Extension of the Wish'', as well as much of its other material. He has also released four more studio albums with Andromeda and two live albums. In 2004, Reinholdz joined Skyfire and made his album debut on ''Esoteric (album), Esoteric'' in 2009. Since early 2017, he has played with Dark Tranquillity. Biography Reinholdz was born on 30 June 1980 in Höör. He first picked up the guitar at the age of nine, inspired mainly by Kee Marcello and Europe (band), Europe. Later he discovered Heavy metal music, heavy metal by listening to bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Sepultura, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Morbid Angel and Pantera. Andromeda (Swedish Band)
Andromeda is a progressive metal band from Sweden formed in 1999. They are currently signed to Massacre Records, Replica Records and Avalon/Marquee. The style emphasizes on strong keyboards and technical drumming. The band is also well known for the vocals of David Fremberg. They have recorded five albums as of 2011, as well as a live DVD. There are two versions of their first album, ''Extension of the Wish''. The original recording features their first vocalist Lawrence Mackrory. The second version has all of the original instrument tracks, but with their replacement vocalist David Fremberg. The most recent album ''Manifest Tyranny'' was released in 2011. In 2016 they released their second live DVD "Live in Vietnam", which was then made available to see on YouTube in 2020. Pivotal Rockordings
Pivotal Rockordings is a record label that was founded in 2004 by Leevan Macomeau and Alexi Front. Following its inception, Pivotal Rockordings signed its first artist, Sonic Syndicate, a melodic death metal band from Falkenberg, Sweden and released Eden Fire, Sonic Syndicate's (and Pivotal Rockordings') first full length on September 13, 2005. Sonic Syndicate's album would eventually land them a record deal with Nuclear Blast Records and give the label notoriety. ''Eden Fire'' would go on to sell over 10,000 copies by the end of 2010 with the help of Sonic Syndicate's continued commercial success and a re-release through Koch Distribution in the U.S. in collaboration with France's Listenable Records. By spring 2006, Pivotal Rockordings capitalized on its success with Sonic Syndicate by signing their second artist, Blinded Colony, a band from the Southeastern city of Karlshamn, Sweden. Johan Liiva
Johan Patrik Mattias Liiva (born 18 November 1970) is a Swedish extreme metal vocalist, most widely recognized as the founding vocalist of melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, as well as a former member of Carnage (band), Carnage, Furbowl and NonExist. He is currently working as vocalist with Hearse (band), Hearse. Career Carnage Liiva formed Carnage (band), Carnage with his friend Michael Amott in 1988, and appeared on two demo tapes "The Day Man Lost" and "Infestation Of Evil", but left the band before their debut album was recorded in 1990. He went on to form Furbowl as a guitarist/vocalist, with Max Thornell on drums. The band released their debut album ''Those Shredded Dreams'' as a two piece on Step One Records in 1992.
