Nokia Tune
The Nokia tune is a phrase (music), phrase from a composition for solo guitar, ''Gran Vals'', composed in 1902 by the Spanish people, Spanish classical guitarist and composer Francisco Tárrega. It has been associated with Finnish corporation Nokia since the 1990s, becoming the first identifiable musical ringtone on a mobile phone; Nokia selected an excerpt to be used as its default ringtone. While the ringtone initially shipped as monophonic, this was eventually replaced with polyphonic and audio versions, as a result of evolving mobile technology. It is written in the key of A major. Thomas Dolby
Thomas Morgan Robertson (born 14 October 1958), known by the stage name Thomas Dolby, is an English musician, producer, composer, entrepreneur and teacher. Dolby came to prominence in the 1980s, releasing hit singles including "She Blinded Me with Science" (1982) and "Hyperactive!" (1984). He has also worked as a producer and as a session musician. In the 1990s, Dolby founded Beatnik (company), Beatnik, a Silicon Valley software company whose technology was used to play internet audio and later ringtones, most notably on Nokia phones. He was also the music director for TED (conference), TED Conferences. The Nokia 1 is a Nokia-branded budget Android Go smartphone, developed by HMD Global. It was launched at the Mobile World Congress 2018, in Barcelona, Spain on 25 February 2018. HMD Global (Human Mobile Devices) is a Finnish independent mobile phone manufacturer. The company is made up of the mobile phone business that the Nokia, Nokia Corporation sold to Microsoft in 2014, then bought back in 2016 by former executives who formed HMD Global. HMD began marketing Nokia-branded smartphones and feature phones on 1 December 2016, through an exclusive licensing agreement, and began producing self-branded HMD phones in March 2024. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s. Psychedelic folk (sometimes acid folk or freak folk) is a loosely defined form of psychedelic music that originated in the 1960s. It retains the largely acoustic instrumentation of folk, but adds musical elements common to psychedelic music. Nokia N78
The Nokia N78 is a 3G mobile phone made by Nokia. It was first introduced at the Mobile World Congress on 11 February 2008, and was launched on 26 May 2008 for €350 before taxes and subsidies. It runs on Symbian 9.3 ( S60 3rd Edition, FP2) and was marketed as a more cheaper Nseries device inside a compact, light body. The phone is compatible with the N-Gage 2.0 mobile gaming service. It is the successor of the N73 and its design shares similarities with the N81, N82 and N96. Despite its relatively low price, the Nokia N78 does still pack numerous standard Nseries features such as A-GPS, HSDPA and Wi-Fi. A ringtone is the sound made by a telephone to indicate an incoming telephone call. Originally referring to the sound of electromechanical striking of bells or gongs, the term refers to any sound by any device alerting of an incoming call.
